Germany

The fatherland. Or so the Germans would have us believe. The birthplace of Nazis has come rather far since the 40's. Now that their are not desperately in a depression, they are fairly nice. Berlin, however, is a huge construction site. Munich is nice, but only if you like beer. Frankfurt is by far my favorite German city, but supposedly it is the most Americanized. The skyscraper capital of Europe, it is always amusing and even has an old part of town to satisfy the history buffs. Another favorite spot was Heidelberg. This castle/mideieval city built into a mountain is a great daytrip.
