On behalf of Squadron 222, I would like to THANK YOU for viewing our website. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about us.
We are one of the fastest growing squadrons in Broward County, Florida. The squadron has a current membership of 61 members and is still growing. The Squadron has produced 3 District Commanders, several District Vice Commanders, 1 Southern Area Commander, and 1 Detachment Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms for the Southern Area.
The Squadron has made 100% every year for the past couple of years. In 2001, the squadron placed in the top ten in the state for achieving a higher percentage over the previous year. In 2002, the squadron was in first place for Americanism in the Detachment of Florida. It was the first time that we received this honor. 2003, the squadron placed in 2nd place for the State of Florida in Americaism and we look to do it again or better this year.
The Squadron is very active in the Post home. The Squadron supports a Dart Team, Blood Drives, and other various programs within the organization. The Squadron also has members on the Color Guard. The Squadron works with The American Legion and The American Legion Auxiliary in many of their programs, such as Boys Scouts, Boys State, Girls State, and various other programs.
I hope that you find what we do interesting. Remember what you read is only a small portion of what we do for our community and veterans. I hope that you will be joining us in the future and look forward to meeting you.
