Dear Lord,
As another Christmas in this lonely, sorrowful place approaches, I think of your Son, whom you sacrificed for me. I thank you Lord, for the wonderful sacrifice. And as I remember your son Lord, I would like to ask for your remembrance of other sons...my brothers in this prison.
I am asking Lord, that you heal their sicknesses, that you give them a day of respite from their pain and sorrow. I don't ask this for myself Lord...ONLY FOR MY BROTHERS.
I would also like to ask you Lord, if you could help them to understand why our Government has left us here for so long Lord, It's been so many years that they think they are forgotten. I don't ask this for myself Lord...ONLY FOR MY BROTHERS.
I would also like to ask Lord, if you could touch the hearts of our captors, and ask them to stop the torture and the beatings for just one day Lord, that's not so very long. I don't ask this for myself Lord...ONLY FOR MY BROTHERS.
If you could see your way clear Lord, I would also like to ask if there is some way the daily ration of broth could be a full cup, and maybe have a bit of vegetable or meat and rice in it, just for one day Lord. I don't ask this for myself Lord...ONLY FOR MY BROTHERS.
I only have one more request Lord, and it may seem a bit strange, but this is the most important one of all Lord. I am asking Lord, if you could just for one night, exchange the nightmares for dreams. Dreams of Christmas at home, with families all around. I don't ask this for myself Lord...ONLY FOR MY BROTHERS.
AMEN
