Funeral Services will be held this afternoon at four o'clock from her late residence on Smith Avenue, conducted by Revs. Earl J. Garbutt and T. F. Callaway, followed by interment at Laurel Hill cemetery. The following gentlemen were requested to act as pallbearers: Messrs. Lester Wyche, Harry Wyche, Owen Stanaland, H. T. Poole Sr., H. T. Poole, Jr., James W. Poole. The deceased was a native of Beachton community, south of Thomasville, a member of two of the oldest and most prominent families of the county. Her parents were the late Henry and Artie Frances Lester Wyche. Her mother was a sister of the late Mr. R. E. Lester. She was married to the late Mr. James Miller in this city in 1882 and she had spent practically her entire life here where she was known and loved by many people. Her husband died June 26, 1931. A daughter, Mrs. Henry Poole Sr., passed away several years ago. Mrs. Miller was a sister of the late Mr. W. R. Wyche of this city and of Mrs. Sallie Hayes of 331 Smith Ave., who survives together with two grandsons, Messrs. James W. and Henry Thomas Poole of this city. There are several nieces and nephews also. They are Mrs. Roberta Davis, Misses Artie and Mary Hayes, Mrs. Owen Stanaland and Mrs. Ruth Kennedy, the latter of Dallas, Texas; Messrs. Harry Lester and James Wyche of this city and Will Wyche of Waycross. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church of this city and a Christian woman the influence of whose life will be the cherished heritage of those of her own family. The graciousness and sweetness of her long and useful life has been felt among those friends and neighbors who have been privileged to know her and to love her. Her death comes as a great loss and many will join in mourning the passing for this good woman. Funeral arrangements will be in charge of Whiddon's Funeral Home.
