Saturday 1/5/02 10 am. at HOBBYTOWN - The American Revolution
Title: The Ragged Rugged Warriors
Rules: "Sons of Liberty"
Notes: The Continental Army, after its victory at Trenton, strikes back at the British occupiers. Based on the Princeton campaign, it will pit Washington and his ragged Continentals against Clinton and his British/German forces.

Title: Take THAT you brute!
First try for a very simple WWII tank battle game using a very simple rules set!

Title: Surprise attack!
The Yankee ironclads steam upriver to destroy a Confederate shipbuilding operation.

Saturday 2/16/02, 10 am. at HOBBYTOWN - 25mm American Civil War
Title: Crossing the deadly ground - 15mm ACW battle
Longstreet's staff officer has found a hole in the Union Lines. The General feels that one strong blow will break the Federal position, allowing for defeat of Meade and Grant, here in the Wilderness. General Lee has come up to give the attack his blessing. Hear the Rebel Yell! Now the swelling chorus of musketry drowns out all else!

MARCH 2002

Saturday 3/2/02, 10 am. at HOBBYTOWN - 15mm Napoleonic Battle
The battle of Ligny in 15mm scale. Napoleon moves to crush the Prussians on June 16, 1815, leaving the British to be held by Ney. Will the Prussian army survive? Will Marshall Blucher whip the emperor? And what of the Prussian chief of staff Gneisenau - who wants to abandon the British to their fate? The battle could decide who sits on the throne of France.

Saturday 3/16/02, 10 am. at HOBBYTOWN - WW II Naval Battle!
Title: Action in the Central Mediterranian
The Italian Battle fleet attempts to intercept a British Convoy. The game uses 1:1200 WWII ships and our own home grown rules set.

APRIL 2002

Saturday 4/6/02, 10 am. at HOBBYTOWN - 25mm Medieval battle
Can the Kingdom of Parallellogram drive out the invaders from the Kingdom of Circumference? The rounds are dispersed, foraging for food. How long will it take to concentrate the army? How many of the squares have straggled on the approach march, and when will the slower units get up to the battlefield?

Scale: 15mm.
The Whites are on the attack, driving up the rail line during Deniken's movement towards Moscow. But what is this - A daring red thrust against the flank? Will the White armored train arrive in time? And what about those pesky Red aircraft?

Notes: On the little-known 3rd branch of the Nile river, a vicious fight between the Mahdist forces under Emir Fafnir, and the Yazulu army under Prince mBongo!. Our 5th game in the "Green Nile" series.

The Phillipine Insurrection. Moro insurgents battle the United States forces in the Phillipines - fighting for independance from the U.S. as they had against Spain. "He may be a brother to Big Bill Taft, but he ain't no friend of mine!" (Saying of the US forces in the Phillipine Islands, quite derisive towards secretary of war Taft)

The fate of Italy hangs in the balance
Can the German Pikemen in the service of the Holy Roman Emperor sieze the supply and payroll convoy headed for the army of the King of France. What about all those guys escorting the wagons?

Title: They wanted revenge
The ships that escaped Pearl Harbor, cruisers and destroyers, were formed into scratch task forces and sent out to search for the Japanese, in the wrong direction. But what if some of them had gone in the right direction?

There is no open game scheduled for the third Saturday in December. Hobbytown will be crowded with shoppers and holiday preparations will consume much of everyone's time.
