In Singleton magic you can only have one of any card, other than basic land, in your deck. Extensive Singleton is taking it one step further. Typically it is played as an extended format, where all cards must come from the current legal Extended environment.

You can play more than 3 cards from each set as long as all other criteria are met (for example you can play 8 Invasion cards as long as you have 3 from all the other sets). The additional cards can be from any set listed above.
