A
Farewell to All
School
time laughs from long ago
happy
boys and happy girls.
Dance
and sing and jump around.
Enjoy
it while it lasts.
Soon
to you, life will come
to
knock you on the ground.
Now
instead of laughs and games,
you
get the tears of pain.
Round
and round it all goes,
the
same thing over again.
Memories
of happy days
plague
you still today.
You
fight and struggle to get loose,
you
want to be free once more.
But
the only reward you get,
is
more tears and more pain.
Your
tired of fighting,
you
want to be released.
So
you grab the knife and take the pills,
then
smile as you slip away.
What's
waiting on the other side?
Is
it better than what you left?
What's
your reward for all the pain,
that
drowned you in its sea.
Did
your release after the struggle
give
you the joy that you seeked?
Is
the light you saw in the end
the
truth or a lie?
No
one knows what waits in death
but
we all beg for it to come.
We
long to leave the world behind
along
with everything it holds.
So
farewell to childhood fun.
Good-bye
to the pain I hold.
I
throw away my hell-filled life
and
embrace the being called Death.
