…. Fall came, and the leaves blew.
We loved the feeling and the sound of running through and jumping in the heaps of them that piled up before the winter chill. Childhood exuberance freed us, for the moment, from a home dark with secrets. After losing you, dear brother, things changed. The leaves fell, until only one was left, on the big oak we used to play under. It stayed there a long, long time. ______________________________________________________________

would never meet the woman who would bear your children. I believe that door closed on the nearly fatal day that changed our lives forever. Massive injuries left you with the trainings of entitlement, but few of the perks of the businessman you were intended to be. With all the other dysfunctions, could it be that you just didn’t have enough to give a lady? Could it be that one branch in a legacy of abuse began to die in the awful events of that auspicious day?
