05-05-2001 The WCA forum is now on a faster server, and is currently having a makeover, if you haven't already, sign up! - The Overseer 26-03-2001 The April 2001 issue of The Source (Trick Daddy cover) has a small interview with Fred Wreck. Aside from finishing up work on Kurupts Space Boogie he mentioned that when the N.W.A reunion starts recording again he hopes to be involved. Don't worry we aren't
all dead, but after the eventful year we've just had theres not much going on at the
moment. 02-18-2001 Speaking of
Royce, I got some emails asking which label he's on and when his album will drop, ect. 02-11-2001 In other news
concerning this beef, Everlast performed at a concert in Detroit, and made the mistake of
dissing Eminem onstage. 01-19-2001 There isn't any content up yet, the font has very NWAesque feel and its being touted as Tha Future Of Hip Hop. - The Overseer 12-21-2000 12-13-2000 Trauma over at B-pLeAsE's West Coast Killaz put up some sad news about the NWA reunion album. Here's the quote from Dr.Dre : "We got a couple things down,
nothing that I'm happy with, so they don't mean anything...The status of N.W.A right now
remains in limbo, because everybody that's supposed to be a part of this record has their
own careers, and they're out doing their things. Cube is working on a big special-effect
movie, Snoop has a record coming out and is gonna promote that, and I'm working with my
new artists, trying to do my thing. I have no idea when that record's gonna happen, or if
it's gonna happen." 12-05-2000 The Up In Smoke Tour Video is out here in the UK. (Thanks to El Neckio for hooking me up.) So far its only been seen in Woolworth's. I asked and there is no sign of the DVD over here yet. So what's on it? Asides from the main performances (listed below) there's lots of behind the scenes footage which thankfully is broken up in between the performances so it doesn't fuck up the flow.
There are a few partial performances on here as well including Stan, The Next Episode, California Love and 2 Of Americaz Most Wanted. One thing I know people want to know is whether that controversial mini movie is on there or not - It is, there is also a snippet from a mini movie for Ho's A Housewife with Mel Man. Almost everyone associated with the tour is on the video... Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Kurupt, WC, Mack 10, Devin The Dude, D12, TQ, The DOC, Mel Man, The Truth etc etc with the exception of Hittman. So is it worth buying? Do you even need to ask that question? The quality is top notch, its not a camcorder concert movie. Running time is 2 hours. The picture quality is good. I piped the audio through my amp, cranked the volume up and its solid. There is some really funny stuff on here, some you'll expect, some won't but I won't ruin it for you. I've got the DVD version coming from the US when its released there, I'll post up if it differs, hopefully its even better! - The Overseer 12-3-2000 2ND UPDATE! Yeah, Bennz back again real quick like with another execlusive Xzibit track off The Restless LP. This one is called "Don't Approach Me" and features none other than Eminem. This is another HOT joint, and yes, the rest of Xzibit's album is off the fucking heezy. It's a classic, taking what Dre's Chronic 2001 did to the next level. Peeps who've heard it are proclaiming that the West is OFFICIALLY back in the game. The album is consistently dope, every beat sounds nice together as one package, unlike Dre's album that was all good, but each track had a different vibe to it. Yeah Dre's was the classic that laid the blueprint for the new West Coast sound, but Xzibit's shit is what will certify it's new reign at the top of the industry. Don't Approach Me - Xzibit featuring Eminem X to tha Z and Slim Shady each rip it about life's strife and struggles. Em seems like he's regaining his hunger to be considered a dope MC, telling his fans that he's just a normal person, and to stop acting like he has to be an entertainer 24/7. What's deep about his lyrics are his comments regarding the fight in the parking lot and his wife Kim slitting her wrist, and instead of that feeling you would normally get that Eminem is just joking when he spits, it's even better knowing he's on some reality shit here. Anyway, enjoy the track, and remember who had these joints first... the leader in this West Coast Hip Hop internet shit.... NWA2K.- Mr. Bennz 11-28-2000 0R 12-3-2000 What's crackin, yeah the update is fucked up, but that was when I originally intended to update this site. instead due to circumstances that were out of my control, I was held back, but have returned to put it down the CORRECT way. I'm going to skip right to the good shit... looking around the net, I'm surprised that the Xzibit album hasn't been ripped yet. So without further ado, here are the world premiers of two HOT joints off The Restless LP: DNA (Drugz N Alchohol)- Xzibit featuring Snoop Dogg Life's A Bitch - Xzibit produced by Dr. Dre Both tracks are blazing, fuckin amazing! I've heard clips of the whole Xzibit album and it sounds like it's going to be a 5 mic classic! I have small clips if anybody wants to peep them earlier than when the other sites will get them, hit up my email to let me know, and they'll end up right here on NWA2K. If yall were to ask me which record label was my favorite at this point in time, you would assume my answer would be Aftermath, right? No, right now the best label out there is Rawkus Records. Rawkus is based in New York, and all it deals with is strickly underground Hip Hop. The label takes unsigned MCs, DJs, and producers and puts them on tight compilations, which serves as demos, and usually gets those artists record deals with major labels. Eminem started at Rawkus back when he was underground, releasing what is, in my opinion, his best music he ever made. Ever since he went to Aftermath he hasn't been the same. The group Black Starr (Talib Kweli & Mos Def) released a record through Rawkus, and it is a Hip Hop classic. They've scooped up acts such as Kool G Rap and Pharoah Monch, both known for bringing real Hip Hop each time they put out a record. The label started as an underground concert, moving through out the boroughs of NYC, calling the show Lyricist Lounge. It became so popular that they were able to turn the show into a label, and eventually into a TV show on MTV. This is amazing since they did this without selling out, and managed to be Popular without making Pop music. They put out a compilation a couple years back called "The Lyricist Lounge Vol.1" which was dope, but a little boring as most of the artists on the record were unknown at that time. Since then they've dropped str8 bombs, such as Soundbombing 2 and Mos Def's "Black On Both Sides" Now they've returned to their roots, releasing "Lyricist Lounge Vol.2" which contains many new acts as well as some well known underground cats. Hoping to get his career jump started with the help of Rawkus, much like his partner Eminem did two years ago, Royce The 5'9" appears on a tight ass joint "Let's Grow". The joint is thugged out, but unlike the shit you might hear Ruff Riderz or Ja Rule do, Royce actually has lyrical skills. He speaks on hooking up with Eminem, and becoming the group Bad Meets Evil, and various other things. Basically it's off the heezy Click "Here" to listen to "Let's Grow"... For all of yall who loved Dr. Dre's Chronic 2001, remember that Royce wrote some of Dre's lyrics on that album, namely, on the joints "The Way I Be Pimpin" and "The Message" With the skills this cat got, he's going to blow up big, and probably take Jay-Z's spot on the top of the charts... because Real Hip Hop is taking over this muthaphukka, no doubt!- Mr. Bennz Peeps have been wondering why Dr. Dre had dropped The Last Emperor off Aftermath. I mean, from what we've heard from the Last Emp, he was a dope lyricist, and could only help Aftermath blow up even larger during their hostile takeover of the industry. Well. scratch your heads no more... I have the answer right "Here"... I won't even describe this peice of shit, just listen to it, it'll explain every reason why Dre got rid of him. All I got to say about Eminem dissing Evidence and Dilated Peoples on "Quitter" is DAMN! Finally Eminem will be involved in a battle that's more up to Em's standards. From Cage to ICP, to Everlast, all those fools weren't shit... but Dilated will surely bring some heat with their comeback. Dilated might actually beat Eminem down in this battle. I mean, Em has no way to diss Evidence... except saying he's undrground and hasn't sold alot of records (which is respected if the artist in question is dope, just peep Xzibit before he hooked up with Dre). But Evidence? Mad skills, enough to take Eminem on head to head. We're gonna have a DOPE battle for once... fuck that one sided bullshit like before. "Quitter" is dope, Em comes close to going back to his roots, but it still doesn't compare to his early shit he made in his career. Peep this joint "365" for the shit that made me an Eminem fan. Word is that the NWA reunion will be released in the Summer of 2001, and the Aftermath Rakim album will come around Christmas 2001. I hope Death Row putting all of The Last Meal on their official site comes back to haunt them. Here's what WILL happen: Snoop will sue The Row, Priority Records will sue the Row, and the RIAA will shut down DeathRowRecords2000.com for good, and maybe fine the company for being that stupid. Shiit, it would make sense if DR2000.com was a pirate mp3 site, but it's not, it's a very public site, so whoever made the decision to put that album up in mp3 is retarded or something. I'd like to welcome the new staff member Overseer, keep up the good work. Hopefully we'll keep the staff roster the same for a while this time. And one last thing, it's December... and that means NWA2k's One year anniversary comes at the end on this month. It's been a long time, and a good run. The hits have gone from 50 a day to over 1000 a day, so thanks to the visitors. We've done this all by word of mouth and with one or two links. No .Com urls, or search engine shit, we did it the hard way and succeeded. Our plans are to take NWA2K to new heights in 2001, cuz until everybody recognizes that NWA is the originators and deserves their props for making Hip Hop music bigger than it was before them, then it ain't over. PEACE- Mr. Bennz 12-2-2000 11-30-2000 As part of the promotion for Snoop Doggs Last Meal the official site for the album has put a up an .exe for download, which according to the site allows you to "kick it with Snoop Dogg all dizay on your desktizop!" The Download Page for the Snoop Dogg DeskPlaya is here, and here's a direct link to it. - The Overseer 11-28-2000 Sup! New member of staff The Overseer (aka PsyCreate) here, and I'd like to thank B-pLeAsE for inviting me to NWA2K. Although it may not be the final version, Death Row Records has put up the recently leaked version of Snoop Doggs 'Last Meal' here in .mp3 format. They are asking listeners to compare the album against Dead Man Walking, which they (of course) only put up in Real Audio format. This is sure to provoke a reaction from not only from Big Snoop Dogg, but from Priority Records and possibly the RIAA. Secondly here are a few things I did over the weekend about the Up In Smoke Tour Video (DVD & VHS). BET ran a special a week or so ago called Behind The Smoke. They had a segment with Phillip Atwell talking about the DVD. On the show they said the release date was December 5th. (some people are now saying that the release has been put back a few weeks). Phillip Atwell Talking about the Up In Smoke DVD (RealVideo) Grab of the Up In Smoke Video Box / Advert from BET (jpg) Finally, I also encoded up Eazy E - Real Compton City Gz (RealVideo) for your viewing pleasure! - The Overseer 11-20-2000 Yo, it's Bennz hittin yall up with a new update. Like B pLeAsE said, not much is going on, but I got a couple things to bring to yall. First, I'm sure yall have heard the Snoop Dogg joint "Pop Ya Collar" off The Last Meal bootleg. Well, I got some fucked up news for yall. That song, which was one of the best off the bootleg, and a favorite in many circles, will NOT be on The Last Meal. Instead, MASTER P has used his CEO status at No Limit to steal it, edit the song adding his wack vocals, and put it on his new album Ghetto Postage. He turned a tight song, which could have been the bomb if it was a single, into a fuckin joke. I've been saying this since I first heard of Master P back in 1996, but now it's more apparent than ever, that muthafucka is retarded. Well, click "Here" to peep the new version of Pop Ya Collar, where The Colonel spits many wack lines, such as "I'm the black Slim Shady", and manages to turn a potential classic into a peice of shit. Thank God Snoop is leaving that wack ass label.- Mr. Bennz Snoop's vocals on the new "Pop Ya Collar" are unchanged. All Master P did was dub his voice over the track and add his own lyrics in place of Snoop's. Snoop didn't even have to be in the studio for this to happen, so we can't be sure that Snoop approved of this. This brings me to the conclusion that the supposed Dr. Dre beats that Master P said he got for his new album might have been beats made for Snoop, but that bastard Master P stole that shit like he did with the above song.- Mr. Bennz D-12 is making alot of noise in the underground and with Eminem as a member, will without a doubt have a pop hit album on their hands. Unfortunately, they haven't released any joints that are too impressive, and without Eminem probably would have never got a record deal. But I picked up some shit by the 6 man crew that's tight. Click "Here" to peep "My Words Are My Weapons" a nice cut, reminiscent of the sounds off The Slim Shady EP. The track is off Funkmaster Flex's new mixtape, The Mixtape Volume 4. They all rip it, Em goes back to his roots with the punchlines, but less of the anti fag shit that's played out. Bizzare actually drops a decent verse for the first time in his career, spitting some sick shit, listen to it, it'll crack yall up.- Mr. Bennz The Anger Management Tour, which featured Xzibit and Eminem performances, has been going strong for a while now. Despite Eminem's difficult time trying to enter Canada, the crew has had no problems during the tour. If you missed the show, and want to know what it was all about, all you got to do is click "Here" to peep this review by our new columnist Fred.- Mr. Bennz The Hollywood Reporter reports that Snoop Dogg is about to sign a deal to play a small roll in John Singleton's new flick "Baby Boy" Singleton was the director who made the classic "Boyz N Da Hood" starring Ice Cube, "Poetic Justice" starring 2pac and Janet Jackson, and "Higher Learning" starring Omar Epps, Ice Cube, and Busta Rhymez. This news hasn't been confirmed, but with Snoop's heavy schedule running Dogghouse Records, releasing Doggy's Angels and his next album The Last Meal, it might not come to be.- Mr. Bennz Well, that's it for this update. Stay tuned for more good shit by the number one NWA site on the net, in the mean time peep "Chronic Underload" if you want to have a good laugh. Until next time PEACE.- Mr. Bennz 11-15-2000
Whassup, Mr. Muthaphukkin Bennz back with that good shit, that shit that the wannabe webmasters love to bite. I got these next two bits of news from Ka Rule: On a recent UK radio program, the show's host Westwood phoned west coast pioneer Ice T, and the man who created Gangsta Rap said that Dr. Dre was planning on Executive Producing his next album. He also said not to expect it to be released right away, because of Dre's hectic schedule producing for Rakim, Xzibit, and N.W.A. This is huge news, it looks like Dre is really planning a hostile takeover of the Hip Hop industry. As you might have heard, Eminem lost a notebook recently at an airport, in which he had kept his written lyrics. Well, rumor has it that the notebook was found, but is being "held hostage" by a faggot, and the homo will not return it unless Eminem issues an apoligy to all the queers and lesbians in the world for the comments Em has made on his albums. Apparently the dumb fag isn't offended by Em's gay bashing, but just wants to mess with Slim Shady's head. Interscope hasn't gotten back to him yet, so the matter remains unresolved. It's just a rumor, so don't take it too seriously... yet. As we reported a few months ago, Eminem's former bodyguard Big Nasty has written a tell all book entitled 'Shady Business', in which he hopes to hurt Em's career by revealing some "shocking" info on the popular rapper. In it the bodyguard reveals Em to be a womanizing, drug abusing, asshole... basically saying that Em is telling the truth about himself in his lyrics (oh shit that's really a shock!) Big Nasty also wrote about some interesting situations that happened while he was on the road with Slim Shady. Many of Eminem's friends have said that the book is mostly bullshit, but there are some truths inside. Folks close to Em's camp have confirmed that an incident involving Death Row actually happened. Apparently, as Eminem and his entourage were boarding an airplane at LAX heading to Hawaii for the Dr. Dre-Snoop Dogg reunion concert last year, 13 of Death Row's inmates rushed inside of the plane and confronted Em and his crew. Eminem was sleeping, and they demanded that he be woken up so they could talk to him and his manager/lawyer Paul Rosenberg. They weren't there
to beat up Eminem, they actually approached Em wanting him to sign a record deal with
Death Row. They said something like, "Yo, we want you to come work with us now, cuz
Dre is a busta ass faggot..." ect. But Em got pissed, not too happy that they woke
him up to talk shit about his mentor and to ask him that dumb shit. Big Nasty then came in
and ordered the Death Row crew out of the plane, but they refused, stating that they were
conducting business. The bodyguard then insists, so they leave, but as they left, someone
turns to Em and tells him he better watch his back from then on. So Eminem's crazy ass
tells them THEY better watch their back too! So... Death Row basically begged Eminem to
sign with them, but now Suge Knight is talking mad shit about Slim Shady. Death Row's
reputation gets destroyed every time there's some news about them these days, maybe it's
time they change their ways?- Mr. Bennz 11-1-2000 Yeah I know it's been a while since our last update, but unforeseen circumstances have prevented us from putting it down this month. For that I apoligize, and to make it up we've cooked up some shit for yall to marinate on. Well it looks like the haters are crawling out of the woodwork once again, putting out several diss records about N.W.A. As I'm sure yall know, Death Row has dropped a huge diss record on N.W.A "Too Gangsta For The Radio" The soundtrack to the "hit" home video "Too Gangsta For TV". On the video DR used Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg videos to get fans to buy it, knowing that if they left the only good shit they've ever put out off the movie it wouldn't sell. In an effort to undermine Snoop and Dre's success, and to make themselves appear "real" they had three comedians diss the hell out of Snoop and the D.R.E. Calling Dre gay, and calling Snoop a sell out, all they really succeeded in doing is making themselves look like pathetic dickriders. But the most offensive diss on the video is when one of the comedians lists everyone that Dr. Dre supposedly had a homosexual relationship with, and included EAZY-E as one of them. Soundtracks are supposed to be inspired by the movie it comes from, and Too Gangsta For The Radio is just that. The whole record is dedicated to dissing Dr. Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube, and MC Ren. But they attempt to get Eazy fans to support them, using his former associate Gangsta Dresta to trick those fans into forgetting the GAY diss on the movie. Dresta puts it down for Compton on the soundtrack, reminding people it was the CPT that made gangsta rap... that the CPT changed Hip Hop into what it is today, but he fucks up acting like HE himself was a part of it. Bullshit. N.W.A was the Compton crew that did it, and he didn't come along until the Gangsta Rap movement was already popular. One comment on the song "Give It Up For Compton" goes like this "I'm the same G that put Eazy-E back on the block" What?! So what is he saying? That Eazy wasn't true to the streets, and he needed Dresta to bring him back? That's what is called a left handed compliment, meaning it's a diss disguised as props. Death Row left one song off the soundtrack, which is actually a good song, so it was definately a mistake leaving it off. "Fuck N.W.A" (Click "Here" to download it) features Dresta going off on the Real Niggaz. He says that they are trying to use Eazy's fame to make a comeback, and that they are selling out his legacy by including Snoop with the reunion. Well, all I got to say is... Dresta is the one kicking it with the label that called Eazy gay ON A CURRENT RELEASE, but of course he disses Snoop for dissing Eazy 8 long years ago, even though Snoop squashed his beef with the E before he died. What?! He says N.W.A is riding Eazy's dick?! More like Dresta rode Eazy's coat tails to become famous, N.W.A as a WHOLE made Eazy famous. It wasn't all Eazy's work, they all put it down to make the group tight. Eazy definately had his part, which was a big one and I will always respect that. On the other hand, no one would know who Dresta is if it wasn't for Eazy... so just because he's down with the label who dissed Eric Wright AFTER he died, I gots to say FUCK GANGSTA DRESTA. Bitch ass sell out! (Thanks to Fred for the hook up) DJ Quik premiered a new diss song aimed at Dre and Snoop on his radio show recently. "Status" is being called a retaliation against Dre and Snoop for being mad at "U Ain't Fresh" which is another diss directed at Dre. Well, what do you expect when you diss somebody, Quik? Of course they'll be pissed. He says some confusing shit, dissing Snoop a little bit more than Dre. He once again says they have been biting Mausberg, who was murdered earlier this year at a party in Compton. Everytime I hear they squashed the beef, another diss song surfaces... I think Quik is mad because he said Gangsta Rap is dead, but the public keeps dissing him for it, while Dre has made a comeback after saying the same thing. Anyway, when I get ahold of this track I'll have it here on NWA2K. But wait, that's not all. Eminem is being dissed by, of all people, VANILLA ICE! The white wannabe rapper that gave every whiteboy a bad image, making it almost impossible for caucasians to make it in this business by selling out, is attempting to make a comeback after years of obscurity. He has made a new album entitled 'Skabz' but hasn't found a record label dumb enough to distribute it yet. On it, Vanilla Ice, real name Robert Van Winkle, disses Eminem for constantly dissing him since Em became popular. Em sort of dissed Van Winkle on "I Just Don't Give A Fuck" so Ice made some comments dissing Em before copying Em's hairstyle (Yes, the story gets even more pathetic) and getting dissed again for doing that on "Marshall Mathers" It's nothing to take seriously, Vanilla Ice's own best friend, rocker Lenny Kravitz, has produced alot of the album, but completely denies being involved in it. Kravitz management says that while Kravitz enjoys a good friendship with the whiteboy, he wouldn't dare work with him, obviously because it could possibly end his own career. Sad but true. Ice is known for lying, his career as a Pop star ended after it was found out that his biography, which depicted Ice as a Miami gangster, was str8 bullshit. Ice accused Suge Knight of beating him, and holding him over a balcony threatening to drop him down 10 stories if he didn't sign over the rights to the hit "Ice Ice Baby". Later he said he lied about the whole thing. Who knows about that one. But now Ice is saying that Public Enemy is on the new album! Now that's got to be bullshit. He also says that Wu Tang Clan member La The Darkman is on it, along with a barrage of rock-n-roll artists. The rockers being invloved may be true, but I doubt any real MCs will be on it. Oh yeah, ICP is on it... hahahahaha, they belong together, it's a match made in heaven. One thing is for sure, if any of those people are on the album, it's over with for their careers. Ice's ex manager said that they couldn't even perform a FREE concert at Knoxberry Farm, they just refused to let him do it, so I don't expect this album to ever see the light of day. Eminem also had problems when he tried to cross the border to perform a show in Canada. A Canadian activist, Valeri Smith, filed a hate-crimes complaint against him, which prompted Ontario's attorney general to attempt to get immigration officials to block him from entering the country. The courts upheld the legal action, saying that while his lyrics were "offensive" he wasn't violating any of Canada's anti-hate crime laws. Smith asked that Eminem's songs be classified as hate propaganda under Section 319 of the Canadian Criminal Code. Section 319 makes it illegal to publicly promote hatred against color, race, religion or ethnic origin, but not women, as Smith was offended by Slim Shady's "Kill You" off the Marshall Mathers LP. In an act of defiance , Eminem performed "Kill You" first in his set at Toronto's Skydome, then performed the critic bashing song "The Way I Am" stating "I dedicate this next song to that bitch Valerie Smith" Em was performing with the Anger Management Tour, which plays another Canadian date at Montreal's Molson Centre on Friday. Everlast reportedly has recorded a comeback to "I Remember", Eminem's diss aimed at Whitey Ford, but does not plan to commercially release it. According to him, he will give it to underground radio DJ's, printing it on a white label bootleg 12". He said on a recent radio interview that he is not really concerned with Eminem, and that he will not feed into Em's attempt to stay in the public eye, cuz "That's all he has. Without [dissing other rappers] he [wouldn't be as popular]" Then challenged Marshall Mathers, saying if Em wanted to continue the fued, to meet him in the streets and handle it with his hands. Yesterday, Death Row released "Dead Man Walking" a collection of unreleased joints by Snoop Dogg. The caption on the cover says "Snoop Dogg at his BEST", but the album sounds more like one of Snoop's worst albums Tha Doggfather. DR claims they are trying to "help" Snoop by giving him the publicity of a new album, only problem is... Snoop won't see any of the money made off this album. Snoop left Death Row because of this type of bullshit. Suge Knight and his wife managed to trick Snoop into letting them publish the music he made for the label, so Snoop never owned his music, and never got paid for the huge hits he used to make for Death Row. So when Snoop wanted to leave The Row, Suge had the option to sell the Doggfather's contract to either Def Jam or No Limit. If Snoop went to Def Jam, he could hae hooked up with Warren G and continue to make G Funk music, which would keep his fans happy. Instead Suge sold the contract to No Limit, ruining Snoop's reputation when Master P put out the terrible 'The Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told'. Suge then proceeded to diss Snoop for going to No Limit, when in reality Snoop had no choice to where he ended up. The 'Dead Man Walking' album is just another diss aimed at Snoop, and his fans shouldn't buy this crap. B Please uploaded the whole album, so check them out here instead of helping the playa haters at The Row... Dead Man Walking: On October 17th, Ice Cube's cousin Del The Funkee Homosapian, former Kool Keith producer The Automator, and DJ Kid Koala released an album calling themselves 'Deltron 3030'. While Automator hasn't changed much since producing the Dr. Octagon album, Del has taken his flow to the next level, writing a story based in the year 3030. Yeah, the subject matter is way out there, and may turn off the average Hip Hop fan, but the beats remain tight. It's a decent album worth peeping, if you have an open mind, and are tired of the same old bullshit that comes out everyday. Click 'Here' to peep "Time Keeps On Slipping" an example of the tight shit featured on this album. Before the haters start bitching about me reporting on non-NWA shit, check yourselves... Cube helped Del get his record deal. Del used to be a member of Da Lench Mob, and wrote alot of Cube's lyrics on his classic 'Amerikkka's Most Wanted' so Del is a member of the N.W.A Legacy. Del is also one of the tightest MCs that any N.W.A member put on, starting the huge Hip Hop crew The Hieroglyphics that are based in Oakland, keeping it real and never selling out. In some disapointing news, Master P claims that Dr. Dre has produced some tracks for the No Limit CEO's next album 'Ghetto Postage'. P says that he got Dre to produce for him through the connection with Snoop Dogg. The album hits stores November 28th, and with beats by Dre, may actually contain Master P's first ever "good" song worth peeping at least. Aftermath has released the first single off Xzibit's next album "The Restless LP". Click "Here" to download 'X', this joint is hot, produced by Dr. Dre, and sounds like a combination of "Guilty Conscience" and "What's The Difference" It features Dr. Dre and Snoop lending their vocals while X to the Z brings his usual intensity to this track, basically saying he's the dopest and the haters can fuck off. Right now he's filming the video to this song, and has said that the album will feature production by Dr. Dre, Mel Man, Erick Sermon, Battlecat, Rockwilder, Soopafly, and... DJ Quik. Wait, didn't Quik just diss Dre again? This makes no sense. Anyway, as yall know already, Dre executive produced the album, which has a December 14th release date. Featured guest on the album include Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Defari, Tha Alkaholiks, Eminem, and more. Rumors are circulating that Ruthless Records is planning on releasing a NEW N.W.A album, containing unreleased joints probably in 2001. Also, the rumored Eazy album has been mentioned again, which would contain new joints. Here are some rare classics from the late great Eazy-E "Black Nigga Killa" (Without Bone) and "Creep And Crawl Club Remix" Shit, two N.W.A albums, an Eazy-E album, and an Aftermath endorsed Rakim album... 2001 looks like it's gonna be a great year for Hip Hop. Well now we know that Rakim has in fact signed to Aftermath. Dre recently told MTV that it will be "the greatest Hip Hop album of all time... so fuck all yall" The album will have production by Dr. Dre, Mel Man, and my second favorite producer DJ Premier. Dre also said the name of the album will be titled "Oh My God!" Rakim, Dre, and Premo all on one album?!! I'll make a prediction, IT WILL BE THE DOPEST ALBUM EVER... there's no way it couldn't be! Oh yeah, I saw some fools hating on this site before this news was confirmed... what you gotta say now? We were the first to have it, (See our OCTOBER 3RD update) so BIG props to Eclipse The Blocker for the hook up. Aiight yall, that was a big update. Hope it's good enough to make up for almost a whole month of nothing, we won't be fucking around for that long anymore, so stay tuned for a new update soon. PEACE- Mr. Bennz & B-pLeAsE 10-8-2000 Ayo, yeah it's Mr. Bennz back once again with alot of execlusive shit that only N.W.A2k can bring you. First up let's talk about the "Stan" video that was recently shot by the crew. Many people feel that Stan was the best song off Eminem's latest album, well that can be desputed but the potential for a tight video can not be denied. The video's plot basically sticks to the subject as most of Aftermath's videos do. Stan is played by an actor with his hair dyed blonde, walking around somewhere as the letter is being read. The singer that The 45 King sampled for "Stan", Dido, has a part as the girlfriend that Stan kills at the end of the third verse in the song. There is a big underwater scene that was shot also, but that's about all I know for now. - Mr. Bennz There will be two versions of the Stan video, a clean "Ready for TV" version and a "Playboy" type version with more nude women so it's got to be tight. - Mr. Bennz Finally some official news regarding Dr. Dre's new proteje Hittman. Hitt's album is due for a Spring 2001 release. I know there's been alot of so called news about Hittman's album, but this comes from the Aftermath camp itself, not some second hand bullshit from someone who CLAIMS to know shit.- Mr. Bennz Now, for some new music. As I reported here FIRST a few months ago, Eminem recorded a diss song directed at Everlast formerly of the group House Of Pain and now known as the blues singer Whitey Ford. Everlast dissed Eminem on the Dilated Peoples album "The Platform" on the last track on that album, the remix to "Ear Drums Pop". (Click "Here" to listen to that joint) He basically said some shit like he was the only true white MC in the industry, and said he planned to "buck a three 80 on those who act SHADY" Well, Eminem comes back at him with some crazy ass, off the wall, ridiculous shit.- Mr. Bennz Click "Here" to stream "I Remember" where Slim disses the fuck out of Everlast. In it Em switches it up, making fun of Whitey Ford's folk rock style by singing over a bluesy beat. He only kicks one verse, but he hits where it hurts, clowning on how Ford fell off and had to sell out to stay in the game. I don't want to ruin the funny parts, so just check it out for yourself. One thing, it's not Hip Hop, it's more of some Blues/Hip Hop fusion shit.. Honestly, I think it's weak with Slim Shady singing on this bullshit. Everlast now has the oppurtunity to diss Eminem over a HIP HOP beat, which would make him win this battle by default in my opinion. I didn't upload it fast enough, so you might find it somewhere else, but since the internet has leaked it out already I'll have it in MP3 next update.- Mr. Bennz Click "Here" to listen to an EXECLUSIVE freestyle by hip hop veteren Kool G Rap. He flips it over the "Hell Low" beat, and sounds like he might actually be DISSING NWA! If he is, his lyrics suggest that he's pissed at how N.W.A claims that they "Started This Gangsta Shit" when it's true Kool G Rap was rhyming about criminal shit before N.W.A. I don't think he's dissing them, though. He's just representing for himself on this track, it would be incredibly stupid to try and test N.W.A, just watch what happens to Death Row for that gay ass Too Gangsta For The Radio shit.- Mr. Bennz We're planning to renovate the site all over again, so be prepared for NWA2K to get 10 times tighter pretty soon. I'm still having computer problems, but I almost got that shit taken care of. To those people who ordered CDs and never got them, I am packaging them up now to send out to you as soom as possible. I really apoligize for the extremely long delay, these problems hit me unexpectedly. I will add a bonus CD with your orders, which will include the newest execlusive shit I have right now, to make up for the bullshit. Everybody keep it real, Post on the message board and show the haters that you support the tightest NWA site on the net and the tightest Dr. Dre site on the net Dreday.com. PEACE. - Mr. Bennz 10-3-2000 9-22-2000 What up yall, Mr. Bennz
