Who are Mark and Janet anyway?

Mark and Janet are a lovely urban couple living in Yaletown Limited in of Vancouver BC. This area is what used to be called the expo lands and is being developed by Concord Pacific. Mark is a xootr maniac and Janet is just a maniac. Mark and Janet spend a lot of time out of doors, xooting, running, roller blading, biking, skiing and generally hanging out in their beautiful neighbourhood. When not doing this Mark & Janet travel to exotic locales such as Cozumel, Cabo, Hawaii and Toronto (okay Toronto is not that exotic but Mark had work there and still has family there and Janet sometimes has work there). Mark is a eBusiness Solutions Manager with TELUS and Janet is an Event Marketing Manager with TELUS.

What if I want my own copies of the pictures on this site?

Try just pointing your cursor at a picture and hitting the right hand mouse button. Very likely a window will come up with an option to save as.... Click on the save as and pick place on your local hard drive. Voila! you should have your very own local copy of the picture. From here you can print it out, send it to a digital photograph processor or admire it for hours.

How come these pictures are in contact sheet style?

We have experimented with various ways to show pictures on this site including contact sheets with references to the original larger pictures in various sizes combinations and forms, slide show formats and just pictures. Essentially what we have discovered is that if you have a fast internet connection, which we suspect most of our friends and family do not, the contact sheet is a good way to display the pictures because people can scroll though them and pick what they are interested in. The picture viewer format has the significant advantage that it only loads one picture at a time which is a big help to those with slow links however it is difficult to navigate through and complicates site management. The perfect solution may be combining the two in some way but seeing as we also have to make a living we don't have time to figure that out. We have settled on the easiest to manage solution of the contact sheet.
