      We’ve raised TFTs since 1971 and have bred and shown 60 U.K.C. champions and finished 5 AKC champions since 2003- the first year the breed was shown in that registry. We have bred and shown a National Grand Champion. We are also the breeder/ owners of Gr. Ch. ‘PR’ Meadowood’s Double Trouble who is ranked #4 on the list of the best producing TFTs of all time. We have also owned 5 other dogs in the top 50 of this list. AKC Ch./ UKC Grand Champion Meadowood's Buster Brown ranked consistently in the top ten AKC TFTs in the nation. John is a retired secondary social studies teacher and school administrator with BA, MS, and Ed.D. degrees, completing 40 years in education. He now teaches at Illinois Central College. He is a past president of the National Toy Fox Terrier Association and has served in all offices of the Illinois Toy Fox Terrier Association. John is a licensed all breed judge for 245 breeds in U.K.C. sanctioned conformation shows as well a TFT, Chihuahua, Pomeranian and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel judge for AKC conformation events. He is the author of The Toy Fox Terrier: Wired for Action, published in 2006. Sally is a registered nurse with an MS and is licensed as a clinical specialist in psychiatric nursing. She is an administrator for the Division of Mental Health, State of Illinois. She is a licensed UKC conformation judge for all breeds except the Belgian Shepherd.  

      Our breeding program is small and our busy schedule prohibits extensive travel to shows, so we are proud of our record. We are as proud of the treasured companions that we have placed with families as pets as we are of show champions. We are grateful to receive almost as many Christmas cards from our dogs across the nation as we do from our friends and family. Because we can keep so few to show, we can offer beautiful puppies out of our show stock from time to time. One of our dogs represents the breed in Simon and Schuster’s Guide to Dogs and in the Atlas of Dogs. One of our champions graces the cover of Eliza Hopkins’ The Toy Fox Terrier and another is on the back cover of Sherry Baker-Kreuger’s Toy Fox Terriers.

     We’d love to have you visit our home in Dunlap,Illinois ( just outside Peoria)or meet you at one of the Illinois Toy Fox Terrier shows (the 3rd weekend in May and 1st weekend of October). Most of our puppies go to folks who have previously had a TFT. There must be a reason-come and see why!
