Illinois 336 is the name of a four-lane highway with big plans for the future. It is to connect Quincy to Macomb to Peoria. It is currently being constructed. Currently, IL336 runs from US24 near Quincy to near Carthage, where it will eventually turn eastward following US136 to Macomb and beyond.

IL61 breaks off to head east near Loraine
IL336 joins IL94 northward
IL336 currently ends along IL94 approaching Carthage.
It passes through Loraine and comes close to Carthage.
