This Jackson, this album. One weekend I was watching the Thriller video, the next I was on what was to eventually become an 18-year shopping spree, out looking for records, tapes, CDs, magazines, books...basically, anything associated with
Michael Jackson and his family. Yes, I've collected many things, but what matters most to me is the
music. You don't need a Jackson to write a book about the Jacksons or publish rare pictures of the Jacksons, etc., but the genuine Jackson article is their music. Not only do they sing and dance, they also write and produce their own music, and for some or most, they also play the instruments. I respect that in all artistes who get involved in every aspect of their careers. And, before any hard-core fans jump on me, yes, the some of the Jacksons also act - most notably, Ms Janet. But, this site is focused on music, so allow me to continue... It didn't really strike me how much music the Jackson family has produced collectively, until I was in the process of putting this site together. Not only are there a lot of Jacksons, they've also been very musically prolific! If you've just decided to become a fan of the family, you've got a lot of catching up to do! Even I haven't got all the albums, but I'm trying.... This site has been a labour of love for me. It began as a "Jacksons"
(the group) site in 1996, then expanded to encompass all the siblings since I'm a fan
of the whole family. What can I say? I like their music! What I want to do with this site is to provide information about the musical careers of the Jackson siblings. The discography section is as strong as ever, and, as many of you who have dropped by before will notice, the biography section is finally underway, to a certain extent. Check my updates section to keep track of things as I add them on. What I will not try to do is to maintain a news section, because as many of you who have visited my site over time will know, I am not consistent in updating my site. I just want to make this a place where you can come to learn about the journey from their humble beginnings, to the present. That's all I can promise to do. So, in the same fashion as the unfortunately now defunct MJ Internet Fan Club, I've tried to ensure that all the information I put up is accurate and factual, because I'd like this to be a place where you can come and get to know about the Jackson family, without having to sift through all kinds of rumours and hearsay first. After all, the media has confused itself by believing tabloid reports, so much that even they can't know whether they're reporting the right news! Well, I've been along for the journey, and I've tried to extract the truth from the rumours. The result is what you'll see when you browse through the site, compiled from various sources over the years. A few people have contacted me to correct some mistakes and add more information, so I think you'll find the JFM site pretty complete. Doing a project as huge as this can't be done alone, and I'm very, very grateful to everyone who has come forward to help. Thank you each and every one of you!!! Before I end, I want to state for the record that THIS SITE WAS CONSTRUCTED BY A JACKSON FAN and I have absolutely NO connection to the Jackson family apart from being a fan. The Jackson Family Music Site is a complete fan site - by a fan, for the fans. I do not have any way of contacting the Jackson family, I have never met any of them face to face (sadly, I admit), I do NOT know them personally, so please do NOT write to them at my email address!
