Chapters 51-55

**Chapter 51**

They reached the house in the early part of the afternoon. When they pulled into the driveway of the house, all Brianna could do was stare at the size of the house. It was bigger than she had expected it to be. They got out and started unloading the cars and the small moving van that they had rented to bring all of Brianna’s things back to Lexington, KY., so as to make her adjustment much easier. Harold, Harold, Brian, Jackie, and Brianna started hauling boxes and things into the house. Brian was surprised at the amount of things that one girl could have. Jackie, on the other hand, had expected her to have this much or even more. Some of the boxes contained clothes, while others contained personal items and things that Brianna loved and needed. Harold Jr.(father) led them upstairs to put the boxes in the hall and in Brianna’s room until she had the chance to go through all the boxes and empty them out. When Brianna first entered her new bedroom, she noticed a number of things. She noticed a sign on her bedroom door, which read Brianna’s Personal Space: Do Not Enter Without Permission. The lettering was in Baby Blue and it looked as if it had been done on a computer. She noticed that her walls had been painted baby blue and her bed had baby blue bedding on it already. She even had baby blue carpeting. Her room also had a desk and numerous pieces of bedroom furniture in it. There was a baby blue colored inflatable chair siting in a corner of the room. She had a tv sitting atop one of the bureaus and there was also a phone in her room already. She also noticed a huge stuffed dog sitting on the floor in front of her bedroom, next to her bed. It was the same dog that she had been eyeing at F.A.O. Schwartz in New York. “BRIAN,” she screamed. He came running. “What Bri?” he asked as he entered the room. “What the heck is this thing doing here?” she asked as she pointed at the dog. “Oh that, I saw you staring at it when we were in F.A.O. Schwartz, so I talked to them about sending one of them to me. Just consider it a welcome home/ room warming gift from me.” Brian replied with a smile on his face. “Thanks Brian,” she said as she enveloped him into a big hug. After that, Brian and Brianna returned to bringing boxes into the house.

**Chapter 52**

After all of the boxes had been brought in from the cars and moving van, Brianna first said good-bye to Annaliese and Jeffery and then set to the task of unpacking all of her things and finding places for them. Brian walked in and offered to give her a hand to possibly make the job go faster. Brianna unpacked all of her clothes and laid them out on her bed for the time being, until she decided where they would all go. Brian helped her unpack her CD player and her huge CD collection. He was surprised by the number of CDs that she had. Brianna decided that her CD player was going to go on her headboard for her bed and that her CD collection would sit atop one of her many bureaus. She unpacked her pictures that were in frames one by one and set them atop her smaller bureau, which was near her bed, after she took a good look at them. Brian looked at her as she did this and noticed that tears were appearing in her eyes. “Bri are you ok sis?” Brian asked with concern in his voice. “Yeah, I am ok. I just get very sentimental when I look at these pictures from back home.” Brianna said. Brian walked over and looked at the pictures that she was putting out. Most of them contained Brianna and someone else, but some were just of her friends and people she knew. Brianna’s eyes became very misty as she stared at three of the pictures that she had just put out on her bureau. One was of her and her best friend in Indiana, Nadine. Another one was of her and Justin from her 16th Birthday. The third one was of Brianna and the guys of ‘N Sync. Brian pointed at the picture of Brianna and Nadine. “Who is the girl that is with you in this picture?” he asked. “That is my best friend Nadine.” Brianna replied. “She looks like she would be a good girl for Kevin,” Brian stated. “Yes, but she is my age Brian,” Brianna replied. “So?” Brian questioned. “Ok, fine. When she comes to visit, I will introduce her to Kevin.” Brianna stated to make her brother happy.

**Chapter 53**

Brianna had finished unpacking her things and had a delicious meal with her family. After dinner, she asked her mother if she could call her boyfriend. Jackie had said that it was fine, so Brianna hurried up to her room and dialed the all to familiar digits that made up Justin’s cell phone number. It rang once before someone answered the phone. “Hello,” the person said hesitantly. “Hey J, its me,” Brianna said into the phone. “Hey Sweetheart,” he said, instantly perking up. “Where have you been in the past couple of days?” “Well babe, I have officially moved to Lexington. I spent yesterday and earlier today on the road and the days before that, I was busy packing and getting everything ready to be taken. That is why you haven’t heard from me since I called you to tell you I was home from New York,” I replied. “Ah, well I have some good news for you sweetheart,” Justin said. “Oh yeah, what is that?” I asked out of curiosity. “Chris and JC are getting better!” Justin exclaimed happily. “That is great news babe! I know how worried you were about them,” I replied. “Yeah, we were all worried about them. They both woke up earlier this week, which the doctors say is a good sign.” Justin said. “That is great to know sweetheart. At least you guys are over one hurdle.” I stated. “That is true.” Justin replied. “Joey’s doctor said that he may be able to be released in the next few days possibly.” “That is great to know also.” I stated. We continued to talk for a little while longer, before Justin and I both discovered that we were tired, so we said our good-byes and hung up.

**Chapter 54**

The day after she had gotten settled in her new home in Lexington, KY., she asked her brother to do her a favor. “Hey Brian,” Brianna called to her brother. “Yeah Bri,” he replied. “Can you please take me to see Justin and the guys? I really need to see my boyfriend.” Brianna stated to her brother. “Sure Bri, no problem. I will just grab my wallet and my keys and I will meet you at the car.” Brian stated. Brianna ran out to the car. A minute later, Brian walked out, opened the car up, and they climbed in. Brian backed out of the driveway and pulled out on to the road. In no time at all, they had reached the Mariott, where Justin and Lance were staying until the other guys were better. Brian parked the car, then they climbed out of the car and walked into the hotel together. Brianna knew which room they were in, so they went straight to the elevator and got in. She pressed the button to get to the floor that they needed and then pressed the door closes button. A few minutes later, the elevator stopped and they got out. They walked down the hall to the room that Brianna knew was theirs. She knocked on the door and after a minute, someone came to the door. The door was opened a crack and someone took a peek out through that small crack. The door was shut again and the sounds of a latch being unlatched were heard before the door opened again. “Sweetheart,” Justin exclaimed at the site of his girlfriend standing there. He held his arms out for a hug and Brianna embraced him in a careful hug and gave him a kiss. “Babe, I have missed you so much. I am so glad to see you again.” Brianna said. “Come in, come in.” Justin said as he stepped aside to let Brianna and Brian into the room. I easily saw his cast as we entered the room because he had on a simple white wife beater and a pair of jean shorts. It went nearly all the way up to his shoulder. It had to be painful for him because from the looks of the cast, a lot of damage was done to his arm in the accident. “Where is Lansten?” I asked my boyfriend. “Right here,” I heard a deep voice say. I turned around and saw Lance standing not to far behind me with his right arm literally strapped to his body in an immobilizer, so that he wouldn’t move his injured shoulder at all. “Hey Lance,” I said as he walked over to me. I embraced him in a very careful hug because I remembered about his bruised ribs. “Hey Brianna, we have all missed you like crazy,” Lance said with tears in his eyes. “oh Lance please don’t cry,” Brianna said as she choked back sobs. Brianna let the tears fall from her eyes, and soon both Justin and Lance were crying also. After they had calmed down, Brianna asked, “Brian can I go see the other guys, who are still in the hospital?” “Sure, why don’t I take you, Lance, and Justin to see them?” Brian suggested. They walked out of the hotel and climbed into Brian’s car. Brian pulled out of the hotel parking lot, pulled onto the main road, and headed directly towards the hospital.

**Chapter 55**

A little while later, they pulled into the parking lot of the hospital. Brian parked the car and the 4 of them got out. They walked into the hospital together and went right up to visit Joey first, since he was in a room by himself. They walked into Joey’s room and found him sitting up in bed, as best he could with his ankle immobilized in a cast and suspended in air, watching the tv. “Hi Joey,” Brianna said as they entered the room. “Brianna! Hey girl! You are a sight for sore eyes!” Joey exclaimed with happiness in his voice. I blushed at his comment, smiled at him, and said, “How are you feeling Joey?” “Well, I am as good as someone who has his leg in traction can be,” he replied with a smile on his face. I walked over to him, playfully ruffed his bright red hair, and said, “When the heck are you going to go back to your natural color?” “Hey, I happen to like this color.” He replied. “Yeah, you and Bozo are the only ones that like and can stand this color actually,” Brianna said sarcastically. Everyone in the room, except for Joey, burst out laughing at Brianna’s comment. After the laughing died down, there was a brief period of silence that filled the room. “I can’t wait to get out of this hospital! I hate being cooped up in places like this for long periods of time,” Joey exclaimed all of a sudden. After they hung out with Joey for awhile, they decided to go and visit Chris and JC. They went up one floor and then walked into the room that JC and Chris were in together. When they enter the room, they are surprised to see them both awake and sitting up. “Hi Chris and JC,” Brianna said hesitantly. “Brianna!” they both exclaimed with shock. “What a surprise to see you!” “How are you two?” Brianna asked out of curiosity. “I am ok,” JC stated with a weird look on his face. “Could be better, could be worse,” Chris said. “So I gather that Justin has told all of you about me being adopted since you guys have all called me Brianna.” Brianna questioned. “Yes, he did. Just like he said to you before, we all truly care about you no matter what your name is because we know you for what you are inside, not who you are.” JC stated. Brianna smiled with tears appearing in the corners of her eyes and looked directly at her boyfriend, who blushed.
