Chapters 56-60

**Chapter 56**

A couple of days later, Chris and JC were released from the hospital. Justin, Lance, and Brianna picked them up and they went to the hotel to relax. Brianna was there with them. She seemed to have fully adjusted to living in Lexington and was spending as much time as possible with the guys of ‘N Sync and especially her boyfriend Justin. Everywhere they went, people comment on how cute a couple they were. That always made Brianna blush and Justin smile. The guys and Brianna were situated around the living room space in the huge hotel suite that they had. Chris, Lance, and Justin were furiously working away on their laptops as JC pulled his out and tried to start it up without any luck. Brianna helped him because she was an expert with computers. Other than the sound of clicking from keys on a keyboard, the room was silent. “So guys, any clue on when you will be able to tour again?” Brianna asked out of curiosity as she sat on the floor next to Justin. “Not for a long while and that is if management and everyone lets us tour again. After all that has happened, I am not sure they will.” JC relented. “Hey Brianna, I need your opinion on some stuff.” Chris said as he motioned her to come over. She got up from her spot on the floor next to Justin and walked over to Chris. “What do you want to have an opinion on?” Brianna asked. “Take a look at these drawings(sketches) for some outfits for the line and tell me what you think.” Chris said, pointing to the computer screen. Brianna looked at the drawings of clothes. “Those drawings are phat Chris.” She responded.

That evening, we went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant, JC’s favorite. We all took seats around a table and looked over the menus before deciding what we wanted. As we talked about what was good at places like this, Brian, Harold III, Kevin, Jerald, and Tim walked by our table. “Hey Brianna, what are you doing here?” Brian said out of surprise. “Oh, me and the guys decided to go out and grab some dinner here after being at the hotel all day. Didn’t mom tell you I was hanging with Justin and the guys today?” I replied. “No, mom didn’t tell me. Sorry about that.” Brian replied. “It is ok bro, we all make mistakes.” I replied with a smile on my face. They took seats at a table not too far from our table and continually glanced over at us for no apparent reason. I giggled at how weird my brothers and my cousins were acting. Justin put his good arm around my shoulder as I relaxed. The waitress appeared and took our orders. We started talking again about all sorts of plans, including me spending time with them when I came down to Orlando to visit my brother and cousin. We settled upon a decent arrangement that we hoped would work out ok with my brother and my cousin, despite the fact that they are seriously over-protective of me. Not long after, our food was brought to the table and we sat in silence and we scarfed down our food.

A couple of days later, in the afternoon, Brianna was sitting in her room, listening to her Kid Rock cd when there was a knock at her door. “Come in,” I yelled. “Hey sis, get dressed in some concert going gear.” My brother said as he entered. “Why Brian?” I asked. “I got us two tickets to see Savage Garden & Robbie Williams tonight.” He replied. “That is soo awesome!” I stated. “I thought you would like that since I know you like both.” He answered back. “Sweet! What do you think about me wearing my denim flares with my royal blue halter top?” I asked. “That will definitely look great on you sis.” He responded. I smiled as I pulled them out of my closet. “What do you think I should do with my hair?” I asked as I laid the clothes on my bed. “Two pigtail braids to keep your hair out of your face. That will definitely look great with that outfit.” He stated. “Ok cool, now get out of my room so I can change and get ready for the concert.” I responded as I pushed Brian out of the room. I quickly pulled off the clothes I was wearing and put on a strapless bra before I pulled on my outfit of choice for the concert and then added my gym shoes to complete the outfit. I grabbed my hairbrush and brushed my hair before braided my hair into two separate pigtail braids. I grabbed my one strap bag and put my camera with extra batteries and extra film in there. Once I made sure I had every thing that I needed and wanted in the bag, I zipped it up and strapped it on. After I was finished getting ready, I walked out of my room and went downstairs. “Ready to go grab an early dinner before the concert?” Brian asked. “Yes, I am bro.” I said. “Ok, lets go then,” he said as he got up and headed towards the door. We walked out of the house and climbed into his jeep. He pulled out of the driveway and headed towards a restaurant.

**Chapter 59**

After a little drive, we pulled to a stop infront of a restaurant. Brian shut the jeep off and got out. He came around to my side and opened the door for me. “Thanks bro,” I said as I climbed out, leaving my bag in the car. After I was out of the car, Brian locked the car and armed the alarm. Brian made sure that I had a hat and my sunglasses on, as he put his on. Then we walked towards the door and Brian pulled it open as we walked in. “How many?” the server asked as we walked up. “Two for non-smoking,” I stated in a soft voice. “Right this way,” she said as she led us to a table and set the menus down before she walked away. We each took a seat at the table, picked up the menu and started to look over it as we began talking. “So bro, tell me how you got the tickets and where we are sitting.” I said. “I got the tickets through a friend of mine, but I am not telling you were we are sitting. I also want to tell you that I have a surprise for you, but you will find out what that surprise is when the time comes.” Brian stated. As he finished, the waitress walked up. “Hi, I am Kirsten. I will be your waitress today. Can I get you two something to drink?” “Sure, I will have an iced tea,” Brian said. “And you?” she asked to me. “I’ll have the same.” I replied. “Lemon for both of you?” she asked. “Yes,” Brian and I replied at the same time. I started giggling as she walked away. “That was weird.” I stated through my giggles. “Yeah, I know.” Brian replied. A few minutes later, she returned to take our orders. “What can I get you guys to eat?” she asked. “I would like the Bacon Cheeseburger Platter, with American cheese and nothing else on that burger.” I stated. “And what can I get for you?” she asked to my brother. “I will have the exact same thing as her.” Brian stated. After she collected our menus, she walked away. A few minutes later, she came back to the table with our iced teas. We stopped talking as she set them down. She walked away and we started up our conversation again. We continued to talk until our waitress came back with our food. Once she brought the food and placed it on the table, we sat in silence as we ate.

**Chapter 60** **Author’s note: I have no clue on any radio stations in Lexington, KY, so I made one up.**

After we had eaten and Brian had paid, we left the restaurant and got back into the jeep. Brian pulled out of the parking lot and headed out on the road towards the place the concert was being held at. “Where is the concert being held Brian?” I asked out of curiosity. “The Rupp Arena.” He responded. “Cool.” I responded as I flipped on the radio. “What is a good station that plays current music or pop, r&b and/or hip-hop?” I questioned as I changed stations. “Try 96.5,” Brian stated. I put that station on and immediately was happy. The station was playing “I Knew I Loved You” by Savage Garden. “Sweet.” I said with a smile on my face as I sang along and watched the road passing by. “How long do you think it will be till we are there?” I asked out of curiosity. “I’d say within about a half an hour or so, but it depends on traffic and all. Don’t worry, we have plenty of time. It is only 5:15 and the concert starts at 7:30, but I am pretty sure there is an opening act before Savage Garden and Robbie Williams each perform.” Brian stated. Just as Brian finished talking, the current song ended and another song came on the radio. I listened and recognized it as “Promises” from ‘N Sync, which I thought was weird but I didn’t care.
