INSTRUCTIONS & GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS:-
The Journal of Applied Animal Research is
published quarterly and provides a wide scope for the publication of original
research work on all aspects of biological sciences applied to domestic and wild
animals. Submission of Papers - Only unpublished recent work of high standard should be submitted in duplicate to Editorial Secretariate, Journal of Applied Animal Research, 151, Janakpuri, Izatnagar-243122, India. The papers may also be mailed to editor@jaarindia.com. It is preferred the the papers be also submitted through mail accompanied by a soft copy of the full length paper on a floppy disk or compact disc using IBM compatible software. Copyright - The author(s) will be required to transfer copyright of the article to the publishers on acceptance of the papers. Reprints - Proforma for ordering reprints will be sent to authors on acceptance of the paper. As the publishers do not levy any page charges, the purchase of 50 reprints is obligatory for accepted papers. However, one of the authors will get a complimentary subscription of the Journal for the year in which his/her article is published. Style of Manuscript - Manuscript should be typed in double spaced on white paper of A4 size leaving 3 cm. margin on all sides. The top page of the manuscript should contain (i) title of the paper (ii) name(s) of the author(s) (iii) name of research station/institute (iv) a runnign short title and (v) 4-5 keywords. The text of research paper as well as short communication should be divided into (i) Abstract (ii) Introduction (iii) Materials and Methods (iv) Results and Discussion (v) Acknowledgement, if any (vi) References (vii) Tables and Figures. Language - The language of the journal is English. A brief abstract will be published in Hindi, however, its submission is not obligatory for non-Hindi speaking authors. References - References in the text should be cited either as Singh and Srivastava (1998) or (Singh and Srivastava, 1998). The papers, with more than two authors, should be cited as Singh et al. (1998). The references in the bibliography should be listed alphabetically, as follows. Bose, S. 1976. Poultry Nutrition. Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, pp. 76-82. Patel, H.H. and Shah, V.H. 1988. Antimicrobial properties of some new dithiocarbamates. Indian J. Microbiol., 28: 74-77. Weiland, P. 1988. Principles of solid state fermentation. Illustration - Graphs and figures should be minimal and on a separate sheet in Indian ink. Only black and white photographs on glossy paper should be submitted. However, coloured photographs can be published if authors agree to bear the cost. |
