Men's Leagues |
The Fort Rouge Curling Club has several Men's Leagues for your curling pleasure. One Night a week leagues are on Monday (24 teams), Wednesday (24 teams) and Thursday (24 teams). These leagues are open to everyone from the recreational curler to the most competitive and everyone in between. |

The First Round will consist of four groups (A, B, C and D) playing a round robin of five games. Round two seeding will be determined by the points received in Round One. Round Two and Round Three will consist of three groups (A, B and C) of eight teams playing a round robin of 7 games. The seeding of the teams for Round Three will be determined by the accumulation of points of Round One and Round Two. Group Playoffs: The top four teams in each group (A, B and C) will compete in a single knockout format for their respective league group title. |
Club Championship/President's & Past President’s Trophy/Division Competitions |
Teams qualifying for the Club Championship, President’s Trophy, Past President’s Trophy and Division (A, B, C & D) Competitions will be determined by the total points accumulated during the regular scheduled league games. These competitions will be a single knockout format and played on Monday, March 17th, Wednesday, March 19th, Monday, March 24th and Tuesday, March 25th. |
The Club Championship will consist of two teams from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wildcard teams. |
The President Trophy will consist of two teams from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the next highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wildcards teams. |
The Past President’s Trophy will consist of two teams from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the third highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wild card teams. |
“A” Division Competition will consist of two teams from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the fourth highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wild card teams. |
“B” Division Competition will consist of two teams from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the fifth highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wild card teams. |
“C” Division Competition will consist of two teams from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the sixth highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wild card teams. |
“D” Division Competition will consist of two teams from each league (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues that have the seventh highest accumulative points in their respective league plus two wild card teams. |
The wild card teams and seeding for each championship will be chosen by the total points accumulated during the regular scheduled league games. |
NOTE: Twice–a-week teams will be entitled to two spots. If they are in the same competition, they will receive a bye during the first round. However, if they are in the two competitions, they must decide which one they wish to play in. |
Mixed Leagues |
Friday Mixed curl Friday evenings with draw times at 7:10 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. CCA rules apply. Must have two males and two females on a team (alternating skip, third, second, lead). For tied games, please play an extra end consisting of four rocks per team (one rock per player). If still tied, skips draw to the button. No Free Guard. There will be two rounds of five games followed by a third round of 7 games for a total of 17 league games. Group winners will be determined by the standings after the final round. Friday Night Mixed Skins Game will occur on the 18th night of league curling. |
Saturday Mixed
NEW Saturday Mixed League curling at 6:00pm, every second week. We still need more teams to fill this one up. Please call Ernie Wilson at 668-4667. Regular Saturday Mixed: Curl Saturday evenings at 8:30 p.m. The format of six games remain. Curling dates for the 2002/03 season are A GROUP: October 5, November 9, 30, January 4, February 1 and March 1st B GROUP: October 19, November 16, December 14, January 11, February 15 and March 8 C GROUP: November 2, 23, December 21, January 18, February 22 and March 15th The windup social will be held on March 15, 2003. Ladies League |

Business Women's League |
Business Women's curl Tuesday evenings with draw times at 7:10 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. For more information, please contact Pat Hurley. |
Seniors League |
Seniors curl Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 2:00 p.m. They also have a cribbage tournament before curling. For more information, please contact Bruce Hogan @ 896-4010. |
Masters League |
Masters League curl on Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Masters age requirement is 60 years of age, however rinks will be allowed a maximum of two players who have attained the age of 55 years.
Eligibility is reaching the required age during the curling year. Spares are unlimited, must meet the age requirement and may play any position. Games are 10 ends. A bell will sound 2 hours and 10 minutes after the starting time. You must complete the end in play plus one more end. In the event of a tie after 10 ends, extra ends will be played to determine a winner. M.C.A. rules and the "4 Rock Guard Zone" rule will apply. The winning skip is responsible for marking his win on the appropriate score sheet. All games MUST COMMENCE ON TIME at 10:00 a.m. In case of default, the opposing skip and draw master should be advised. For more information, please contact Vern Cooke. |

Winnipeg Fire Fighters Curling League |
Firefighters League curls Tuesday through Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Teams consist of Firefighters, Paramedics, Police and anyone else who wants to curl in the mornings.
