The 1999 Championships. Tamarine played against Sandrine Testud the 13th seed. Tamarine took the first set quite easily 6-2. Testud took the next set 6-1. It looked like the 98 Australian Open 4th Round, when Tamarine won the first set than Sandrine took the next two easily. This was no to be, as Tamarine took the last 6-3.

The 1998 Australian Open. She had a match against World #5 Iva Majoli. She slaughtered Iva, easily 6-0, 6-2 to get to the 4th Rd. The first time that far in a grand slam.

The 1997 U.S. Open. It was the 1st match ever played at the new Arthur Ashe Stadium. She had a match between Chanda Rubin of the U.S.A. She went down 0-4. Then she went on to win the next 12 games, to win 6-4, 6-0 to get to the second round.
