I dig old music, mechanical wristwatches, The X-Files and vintage steel-framed road bikes. Or any bikes. In fact I just bought a folding bike so I can ride every day to and on the way home from work!
The lone rider is perhaps best described as an individualist. But with a capital I please. I think one's life is his own biz. I don't want the government, ours or anyone else's [this includes the French!] telling me what to do. PRovided I'm not hurting someone else, who cares?! I do not trust the government, think taxes are too high, and believe there is more to life than obeying rules. Fun is found on two wheels riding at your own pace. Cars are for passing, preferably whilst going uphill ;)
Who is the LoneRider? I'm the dude who rode his bike in every major snow storm we had last winter, the guy who would rather ride than drive, and rather stick my finger in a wall socket than listen to Sen. John Kerry insult this country. The LoneRider is proud to be an American -- but willing to criticize absurdity in government where it stands. The LoneRider rides again, every day, same time, same channel. Check out my bike stuff, then scope out the political opinions and rants. There might be something there you didn't see in the New York Times or other left-leaning weanie newsscrapers. Then get on your bike and ride! I do. Just make sure to clean your bike after riding in rain or snow. This is where that copy of the New York Times comes in handy!
Bikes, Bikes, and more Bikes...
About fixed gears: Riding the bicycles is fun, but so is building them... Used to be I just restored old bikes to their original geared state. Some i still do. But one day i built a fixed gear bike. It was fun, and now I have several fixed gears converted from road and one hybrid frame... although my geared bikes are great, the fixed gear is something special. Check it out on my fixed gear page....
