Hey man, thanks for stopping by my room...you know, you oughta come by Eric's Casa a little more often. Well, I just thought I'd introduce myself....I am John Frusciante. Later.
Ah...John Frusciante. The man, the myth, the legend, & the rumors. It is a common thing lately to hear "I heard John died". I think many people are confused with Hillel Slovak, the Red Hot Chili Peppers'(RHCP) first guitarist, who died of a heroin overdose. Then came John, and a lot of people seem to think he died too, but he didn't, he quit. Now he makes amazing solo albums with a 4-track recorder where ever he happens to be living. John is amazing. If you haven't experienced his passionate musical ability, I highly recommend that you try and find one or both of John's solo albums. Everyone I've ever talked to who likes John basically says the same thing. John brings energy and meaning to his music and I think it all comes through in his fans. We are all intense thinkers, much like John himself. Like John or not, you cannot disagree with the fact that he loves what he does and that in itself makes him brilliant. I'm sure John has never said, "Well, I better not put that song on there because I just didn't have a third verse after that second chorus." John plays extremely long songs(Enter a Uh) and very short songs(Life's a Bath). The songs come through to me more as thoughts from him, painted on the only canvas he knows how to paint on. A lot of people have been very dissapointed in Johns' works after RHCP. I think they were expecting something else. The people who are disheartened by him can't feel the or recieve the thoughts he brings. John Frusciante is a great man, and I look forward to any future releases from him.
John is currently with the RHCP again, which is wonderful to hear. Although I'd rather see a new album come from John alone, a RHCP album with John again would be great, too. Many songs off of both "Niandra LaDes" & "Smile" were recorded during the old RHCP days, so, a new John album still has plenty of possibilities.

I am happy to say that I didnt steal any of these pics from any other John sites, just scanned them out of a magazine.
