Storms often rage throughout my days,
As I travel following God's ways;
But I have found peace beyond the norm,
For Jesus is my calm in a storm.

Now that I'm growing older in age,
I'm losing friends, I want to rage;
But Jesus quiets my heart and soul,
I'll see them again He wants me to know.

When my children hurt, my heart cries out,
The wails within my soul are loud;
But my calm in a storm is always there,
All I need do is to ask His care.

Some days I want to give up and sleep,
But my Lord holds me as I weep;
The storms of life rage on and on,
But one day soon, they'll all be gone.

Life in this world is often a test,
And for many there's very little rest;
But when I want my life to be warm,
I call on Jesus, my calm in a storm.
