The leaves of red and gold,
Float quietly from the trees;
Children love to romp
In Autumn's nippy breeze.

The squirrels gather nuts,
All the birds migrate South;
Pumpkin pies and turkey
Are a treat for the mouth.

The cool air gives energy,
And our spirits become free;
We jump into leaves,
And giggle with glee.

Halloween and Thanksgiving
Are holidays of the season;
We celebrate often,
I'm glad we have reason.

The Lord sends His rain,
To quench the earth's thirst;
So in Spring flowers will grow,
But, Winter visits first.

We celebrate the Autumn,
With laughter and joy;
God's gift of color
Is for every girl and boy.
