The current of life has taken me,
To many places, many stops;
I met people in all walks of life,
But these I've met are tops.

In this flowing current of life,
The waters are often rough;
But with the love of my friends,
My spirit has remained tough.

As I paddle in the current of life,
I could count on these to be there;
I didn't have to pretend for them,
My happiness and pain they'd share.

Now the current is taking a turn,
Different roads I will follow;
But these people that I dearly love,
Send wishes that are not hollow.

Lord, bless them with good lives,
As they swim the current of life;
For they have stuck by my side,
In joy, in pain and in strife.

I know our relationship will change,
As we go our separate ways;
But hold them in the palm of Your hand,
I pray our friendship forever stays.
