Day of Thanks

On this day of thanks,
I count what God has done;
He grants me many blessings,
And I list them one by one.

He gave me life,
That was many years ago;
He blessed me with a mother,
Who could make me grow.

He blessed me with education,
And teachers to help me learn;
He blessed me with many friends,
For we moved at every turn.

He has given me four children,
Who have grown to be quite fine;
Ten grandchildren bless my life,
And help fill my time.

He's given me a good job,
That I really love to do;
He gives me clothes and shelter,
And plenty of eats for me and you.

But on this day of thanks,
I must remember the Son;
He died on a cross for me,
Making me a saved one.

So, no matter where you live,
Or what you may do;
Count your many blessings,
Happy Thanksgiving to you.
