The Lord gives us delicate wings,
Wings to soar in our world;
We can fly to new heights,
If our wings we unfurl.

Do not fear doing right,
Spend time each day in good;
Help those who're less fortunate,
Make sure they've God's food.

Soar above the sin and shame,
Even though wings are singed;
God knows perfect we are not,
But do not come unhinged.

Read the word of God each day,
It's the instructions for this life;
In it is hope and strength for all,
When we face our many strifes.

Our delicate wings are often broken,
But unlike the butterfly;
The Lord will mend our spirit,
And our soul need not die.

Soar in this world of ours,
Spread God's word to all;
Love all mankind while here,
And you need not fear a fall.
