Heavenly moments fill my mind
As I think of my days on earth;
They were not always happy,
Nor were many filled with mirth.

I remember the day I graduated,
Success born of work so hard;
But little did I know then
That this was just life's start.

A heavenly moment in August,
When I became a bride;
A new life I would pursue
For I had nothing to hide.

The road was often rough,
But heavenly moments dot the way;
Like the day I became a mother,
On a glorious spring day.

This moment was to repeat itself,
Three more times over the years;
I embraced each God given child,
Heavenly moments without any fears.

But heavenly moments from our God,
Often come in very small ways;
Like the blooming of a flower
On a warm and sunny day.

A butterfly may alight,
Like a whisper on a plant;
Or one may view the labors
Or the marching of the ants.

These are heavenly moments which
Make me think of our great Lord;
Who is always here with us,
If only we will open the door.
