Waiting For You

The man that I loved
Was taken oh so fast;
But the love I have for him,
Forever it will last

We shared rocky roads,
And many mountains we did climb;
But we found some rainbows,
If we took the time.

We shared a life together,
Though we lived apart;
It wasn't always that way,
But pain required new starts.

Our lives were a little different,
Some did not understand;
But we had our own way,
And for us it was grand.

I'm glad I got to tell him,
That I love him to this day;
And even if we faltered,
We found the right way.

I know he'll wait for me,
At heaven's golden door;
And after I'm done here,
We'll be apart no more.
