Memories are not hard to find,
If you know where to look;
You can check out the albums,
Filled with photos that you took.

There may be a scrapbook,
Filled with notes and many cards;
News articles are on some pages,
Reminding us of special awards.

Then there's that box in the closet,
Momentoes surely overflow;
Baby clothes and childish drawings,
And a blanket you took time to sew.

You remember days when children were small,
They were full of love and grace;
Their future spread out before them,
Each one was a different case.

I can't say I'd want to go back,
Those times are for the young;
But I love the many memories,
That bring thankful prayers to my tongue.
