As the clock strikes 12,
And 2009 begins;
I pray your year is happy,
And filled with lots of wins.

I pray you have lots of sun,
Enough rain to make things grow;
I pray that days of health
Are all that you will know.

I pray that you only shed tears
Of joy and great gladness;
That your life is filled with peace
And not the world's madness.

I pray your heart is filled with love,
And your soul has been saved;
I learned about Jesus Christ,
And my soul has since raved.

I pray that your family is well,
And your finances are complete;
I pray that you find beauty
In this world of God's so neat.

So, let us now begin
2009 filled with cheer;
And find the best for our lives,
And be satisfied at the end of the year.
