Lord, I know I can count on You,
To save my son through and through;
He's done wrong, broken your laws,
But You know that we all have flaws.

Let this experience be used for teaching,
Grab his heart, You can reach him;
Don't let him fall by the wayside lost,
Don't let his heart and soul be tossed.

He can grow to be a man good and kind,
If through these years his way he can find;
You promised me, "This too shall pass,"
So I know these days will not last.

Lord, You've been with me on this long road,
You've helped me each day to carry the load;
He's one of your special children, Lord,
And I'm trying to lead him to your door.

He's taught me patience and how to lean on You,
He's taught me what love's really about, too;
He's given me a reason to rise and work each day,
At a time when I felt lost, he helped me find my way.

So Lord, listen to my plea,
From your love let him not flee;
Help me to pour Your love into him,
He's your child, too, Lord, please save him.
