The treasures within my heart,
Are there for only me;
If you pictured all my jewels,
Their worth you would not see.

My treasures are loving memories,
Of family and of friends;
They bring such joy to my heart,
These times of love I've spent.

Treasures are not made of gold,
Or diamonds and rubies rare;
The greatest treasure in this world,
Is love that one can share.

Memories of days lived long ago,
Fill the corners of my mind;
Their glistening light into the past,
Bring pictures of friends so kind.

Pictures of babes within my arms,
And children playing at life's start:
These are joys and treasures rare,
The treasures within my heart.
