 The days are definitely long,
Filled with heartbreak and tears;
Life sometimes throws a curve,
But something I've learned through the years.
My Jesus I have learned to trust,
He is ever by my side;
He guards my heart and comforts my soul,
And I know He never lied.
He knows these times are trying,
He knows my heart's in pain;
He has His arm around me,
His love for me He does not feign.
His patience with me is unending,
I can cry and shout and scream;
He knows all I'm going through,
And His strength gives me steam.
I trust my Lord to make it right,
He'll heal the hurts I feel;
I know His love is strength,
I know we have His seal.
This time will soon be over,
And joy will fill my heart;
I want to look back on this day,
To see I trusted from the start.
