Valentines Day is soon upon us,
Filled with flowers and hearts;
But the greatest thing about that day,
Is the countdown to spring starts.

Little valentines that say, "I love you,"
Make me laugh and smile;
I tell my children I love them,
It makes them happy for a while.

But valentines cannot compete,
With the love letter read each day;
This letter is God's word,
The bible shows His love His way.

In John 3:16
Is His greatest declaration of love;
"He sent His only begotten son,"
Jesus left heaven above.

Jesus came to us to pay the price,
Of all the sins of man;
He died upon that ugly cross,
For that was in God's plan.

So on this Valentines Day,
A message you do not get;
Just remember John 3:16,
And God's love do not forget.
