Welcome to the New England Fox Trotter Club website. The NEFTC was established in 1997 by Gin Stanley and Mary Duffy to promote the Missouri Fox Trotter in New England. We are the only Missouri Fox Trotter Club in New England and are associated with the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association.
The club promotes this wonderful breed through various venues. We have participated in breed demonstrations at Equine Affaire in Springfield, MA with our Fox Trotters. We also have had an information booth at Equine Affaire where our members have enjoyed sharing stories about our beloved Fox Trotters with those who stop to inquire about the breed.
Several members trail ride their Fox Trotters through out New England while others show them in various shows in the region. Gaited dressage has really taken off in New England and a few members participate with their Fox Trotters.
The NEFTC holds annual trail rides as well as clinics for its members. Our annual trail ride is usually a great success. It is held in June at Great Brook State Park in Carlisle, MA. We also have brown bag rides at various locations through out the year.
