Galatasaray made it three in a row and tied Fenerbahçe's six championship. While Fenerbahçe finishing second, Beşiktaş was distant sixth.

Two Ankara clubs were promoted. After the promotion of Adana Demirspor K, an Anatolian city (Adana) would have more clubs than Ankara for the first time in the league history.
