RH: Richard Head here with one of the Legends of the Backyard Industry, Wolfman X... now Wolfman... first off... how's the marriage with Shortcake's going?
WMX: Good, we bought a house with a backyard...and just waiting to move in…
RH: Oh, a backyard, nice, haha…
WMX: Yah...hint hint
RH: Now I know you've had one match back, and several physical altercations, but overall how does it feel to be retired?
WMX: It’s cool, I did all I wanted to do, had dream matches with all of the top stars, and I have nothing else left to prove. I ended my career with my DOE partner Psycohol.
RH: Nice... all has been proven.... do you miss the excitement of wrestling at all?
WMX: Yes, I do and that’s why I bought the Rights to the EWA...so I can still be a part of the Action.
RH: I see, that's definitely the way to do it... but now that the EWA is supposedly over, I guess you may be out of the action as well...
WMX: Well I dunno, I am debating what to do with my Wrestling life when I do move into my house.
RH: So I'd just like to ask you, was that match at EWA50 your absolute last match.... or do you think you will ever consider making one more return to the yard in wrestling form?
WMX: I don't know
RH: Ok… now about the start of the EWA so many years back... just briefly tell us how it came about... you being one of the co-founders...
WMX: The only NWF taped match.....Natas and me wanted to do it, so we brainstormed ideas....I came up with the name...he came up with that first match. The rest is history
RH: Cool... Now do you think you have left a mark or a Legacy in the local Backyard Wrestling Scene perhaps?
WMX: Yes I was there from the beginning, and I had some killer matches.... I am the Extreme God
RH: There is no doubt, it has not been the same without you from my opinion. And this Legacy we're talking about, do you see yourself to have somewhat of an ego about it?
WMX: Yah I have an ego, but I never put anyone else down with it.... I have my ups and the other stars have theirs...its all apart of the show.
RH: It is a part of the show, but some don't see it that way... we all know a few of your fellow Backyard Wrestlers think you have an ego, and it has led to a somewhat personal problem with one of them... do you want to touch on this, have things been worked out at all?
WMX: Ya know.. on camera we were bitter enemies, behind the scenes we were BROTHAS...but things have changed...and its not really an ego thing....its a personal thing...and as for working shit out, we agreed to meet ASAP.
RH: That's definitely a good thing… now besides making enemies, you have made some good friends throughout your career...
WMX: Yes friends....well Jevon and Psycohol were in my wedding along with Napalm. Me and Drake have been Pals since 1984...and Natas is still a Brotha to me
RH: Now you and Psycohol have been enemies for years, but near the end of your career, you became the best of friends...
WMX: Yes me and Psycohol...we were enemies...but not bitter enemies...I believe that the only reason we fought so much was because of the fact we were able to bring out of each other what no one else could....For instance, no one could sell a chokeslam like he, and no one could sell his moves like me…
RH: That is very true, you guys had the BEST matches in these parts... it was definitely a competitive thing... And the Doctors of Extreme seem to be in my opinion, the best formation of powers since the New Breed... they have lasted much beyond your retirement... are there any plans for the DOE in the future? Are they forever, or do you see an eventual breakup?
WMX: DOE...yes we are still pals...as for a breakup...we did that before just to book those last 2 matches. But we work so great together no need to break up…
RH: But speaking of Psycohol, you guys had your very first match of your careers over 5 years ago as your High School Senior Project... thinking back, how did that effect your career as a whole?
WMX: Yes, May 1997...it is still one of our greatest matches...my career....it was my stepping stone into the EWA....the dedication I brought in every big match I had...Hell, I even made the Kamilian look good at times.
RH: Hahaha, true… Now for the quick question portion of our program, hehe...
WMX: Right…
RH: You can elaborate if you like though...
WMX: Right…
RH: First, what has been your biggest feud in your opinion throughout your career?
WMX: Ok my biggest feud....Psycohol...the longest…
RH: alright… your worst enemy…
WMX: Worst enemy....Natas....F&@%er ruined two Leather Jackets!
RH: Yes, I figured… What would you say was your best ever match, even though to me it seems quite obvious?
WMX: WMX vs. Mr. Splooge
RH: Hahahaa!
WMX: HA fooled yah!
RH: I was confused for a sec there…
WMX: WMX vs. Psycohol last match
RH: Yup, that's what I figured, over an hour of pure mayhem…
WMX: You saw it...you tell me what beats it?
RH: Nothing! Not only is it your best match, and Psycohol's.... it is the best match period!
WMX: Yes...and let me tell you why.... we both planned the match for months… whenever one of us did something cool...we decided to do it again in that match....we put everything into that match... the car... deerstand... different destinations... boxes... railroad tracks.... chairs... water... finishers.... combinations.... an hour and 18 minutes of dedication
RH: Very true… now can you think of what your worst ever match was?
WMX: Ok my worse....WMX vs. Mr. Execution, the 2 minute defense match…
RH: Which one was that?
WMX: At Weiler Park…
RH: Ahh yes...
WMX: Dunno why, I just hated it…
RH: Haha, try to tell Mr. Ex that... anyways, Who is your least favorite wrestler to fight?
WMX: Damn...The Kamilian...he no-sold too much!
RH: I'm sure you wouldn't be the only to say him…
WMX: I know…
RH: Have you ever had the slightest bit of fear going into the yard with any one man?
WMX: Fear...like me getting hurt?
RH: Any kind of fear… that he will hurt you, or he is just intimidating?
WMX: Fear...Gaybird...that he would try to f@%& me in the @$$
RH: Hahaha! I'll agree with that!
WMX: No, just kidding, no fear!
RH: Haha, that's the way! Who was your toughest opponent though you think?
WMX: Jevon....We only fought three times...but he had strength like a mule…
RH: And what is your favorite move or moves that you use?
WMX: Ok...I love the Big Boot, Chokeslam, Blitzkrieg combo… but I also love my Big Splash off the table...not to mention them Cliffhangers…
RH: And what is the best move or fall you have ever taken in your opinion?
WMX: Me ever taken...that GODDAMN PILEDRIVER ON THE CAR THAT NEARLY BROKE MY NECK!!! (from Psycohol)
RH: Aww man, that was a killer!
WMX: Yup...
RH: A few more questions before I let you go...
WMX: Nice…
RH: Who is your favorite EWA Wrestler besides yourself?
WMX: Man this is hard…
RH: I know…
WMX: Natas- loved his dedication…… Psycohol-loved his skill…… Drake-loved his humor…… Jevon-loved his style…… Ground Zero-loved his air time……
RH: See, it's so hard...
WMX: 5 way tie…
RH: Impossible to choose, I agree…
WMX: But to break it down to two… Natas for Ewa 1 and 2, Psyco for the rest…
RH: Nice, I'm sure they'll appreciate that... Favorite EWA Revolution?
WMX: Ok another 2 way tie…
RH: Haha ok…
WMX: EWA 1- for the number of people and memories…… EWA 4- for the skill we progressed to…..
RH: Favorite single Show?
WMX: EWA 8....Day of Destruction...when I won the belt from Natas for the first time…
RH: How can I forget...
WMX: Dude I could not sleep that nite before!
RH: That was an unbeatable show, very classic!
WMX: I was so excited, after it I never felt so much physical pain in any other show!
RH: Now deep inside, who is the guy out there, you're always rooting for no matter what?
WMX: In the ring or out?
RH: In…
WMX: Psycohol…
RH: Cool… Who do you always want to lose when you're watching them? Either by skill, or personality…
WMX: Execution...the guy is a riot when he's mad!
RH: Haha… I hope he doesn't read this interview... you know him! Now one last thing before I head out WMX.... a little game of Name association... When I say a name, give me a reaction... Natas…..
WMX: Brotha
RH: Psycohol
WMX: The Man
RH: Splooge
WMX: Funny @$$ motha f&@%-a!
RH: Drakon
WMX: Underrated
RH: Kamilian
WMX: Waste of potential
RH: Ground Zero
WMX: Athlete
RH: Jevon
WMX: True New Yorker!
RH: And finally... Shortcakes
WMX: Dedicated
RH: One more thing, who you rooting to win the World Series?
WMX: Brooklyn Dodgers!
RH: Haha…. ok….
WMX: Really though, Yankees…
RH: Alright Wolfman, is there anything else you would like to add to the Interview?
WMX: Yes....
RH: Ok, shoot...
WMX: None of the new guys were mentioned....but I wanna go out on a limb and say....with time they might have been the next stars of the EWA… and Richard......
RH: Yes WMX?
WMX: Does anyone call you DICK HEAD?
RH: What?! No! You think you're funny huh?
WMX: I take the 5th (amendment)
RH: Ok WMX, whatever you say, haha… well it sure was nice getting to chat with you though… hopefully we can do this again someday in the future… So thanks a lot Wolfman, you’re a legend and hero to many… until next time, this is Richard Head signing off…
