Bob Hart's Saltwater Lure Page

Welcome to my web site! With the Christmas holidays upon us and my starting a new job a couple of months ago, I haven't had much time to devote to my lure collecting or the Saltwater Lure Page. I've been neglecting it and thought I'd do an update for the holidays. Also let me wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. For all of you who like to read about saltwater lures there is a series of articles that were started back in July of this year in the Hunting & Fishing Collectables Magazine. Published every other month there have been three articles written already. Written by my good friend Frank Pintauro and with pictures taken by Ed Poore, another saltwater lure collector the articles are very informative, well written and good reading. For more information on the magazine go to their web site at http://www.HFcollectibles.com. For all the newcomers, this page is about saltwater lures made by the various east coast lure makers during the 1940's and 1950's for catching Striped Bass. I will also feature lures made by other major companies such as Creek Chub Bait Co., Heddon, Pflueger, South Bend and Shakespeare. I will usually list a new lure every other month or so. Although the information may not be complete for each lure and maker, I will try to do my best to pass along what I know. So without further ado here's a link to this months lure... Don't forget to check out the Auction News page for some recent results of auctions from various internet auction sites. I hope it helps inform everyone as to what's happening in the saltwater lure market. If you'd like some help with identifying a saltwater lure you're not sure about or if you have any saltwater lures for sale or trade you can email me at:
