The Bush Family in Kyiv
- We are working with a church planting team organized by Mission to the World.
- We moved to the Kharkovskiy region of Kyiv in November 2002. The new church plant is focused on outreach in this part of Kyiv. Kharkovskiy, the fastest growing region of Kyiv, is considered a "bedroom community" and is on the opposite side of the Dneipr River from the city center. However, it is quick metro ride from the center and still very much part of the city.
- Zavet Blagodat or "Covenant of Grace" is the name of our church plant. We are now meeting for weekly Bible study and worship with a core group of Believers. In December and January we are working on a community outreach Christmas concert for the region.
- The American Film Club is one of the ways we are getting to know the people in our community. Click to see pictures!

The sister church of our church plant is the Church of the Holy Trinity, part of the fledgling Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Ukraine.
- The MTW Ukraine teams have a new website. It is still under development, but we hope it helps you get a better glimpse of what God is doing here.

- Check out our new city! See Independence Square in the Kyiv city centre. And from another angle, Independence Square again.
- About Ukraine, thanks to DK World Desk Reference Online.
- Kyiv Post Online is a local English-language weekly. We read it before we moved here, and it still helps us stay current with what is going on in our city.
- Our teammate Jill scanned a few more pictures from Christmas 2001 for us.

This is a picture of Andrei and Irena, our Ukrainian friends. We met them the first Sunday we were in Kyiv in the nursery at Church of the Holy Trinity. John and Andrei hit it off from the beginning! Their son Alysha will be two this month--his birth date is the same as Reagan's. He loves horses and is very talkative--both in English and Russian! Andrei and Irena's friendship has been a special gift from God to us. Please pray for their family and their growth in Christ.
