Rachel arrives in the series in season two. All the boys are crazy about her and because of this, Lou doesn't like her at first, mainly because she is jealous of her 'feminine attributes'. They soon become good friends. We find out that she has recently been widowed and has escaped from prison, accused of murder. She finally gets cleared when a witness comes forward. Rachel has had a difficult life. It is implied that she knew a lot of men before she fell in love with her husband and is a recovering alcoholic. Rachel always tries to be impartial in arguments and tries to keep the peace. She has a good heart. Her good deeds include becoming teacher at the school, comforting a woman who has been beaten by her husband, helping out a Polish immigrant, and always looking out for Jesse.
