HACIA Democracy's Democratic Forum brings speakers both to Harvard's campus and to the Summit of the Americas each year. U.S. Ambassador to Guatemala John Hamilton chats with students at the 2003 conference in Guatemala City after fielding questions about the recent war in Iraq. See more pictures from the 2003 conference.

Every year, HACIA Democracy funds the conference expenses (including room and board) of as many Latin American students from public high schools as is possible.

But despite this and HACIA's continued growth, we still have a long way to go before our conference is representative of the economic and racial diversity found in Latin America.

If you or someone you know might be interested in making a contribution to HACIA, please contact our President, Jaclyn Shull (shull@fas.harvard.edu).
