After hanging out all day, around 4:30, Nick decided he wanted to spend some "alone time" with Lauren.
"Hey guys, do you mind if Lauren and I take a walk?" He asked.
"Nah man, we'll pick you up at the Mickey D's in an hour. Peace ya'll." AJ said, as the rest of the group left.
"Well Lauren, I'm really glad I met you. I feel so close to you, and feel that I know a lot about you. And I really like you."
"Nick that's so-" She started.
"Let me finish," He said with a smile. "I mean, we've spent almost 72 hours together, and in normal relationships that's almost 2 months time, and I feel like we've grown very close, just in these three days. When can I see you again after today?" He asked, with a cute little puppy dog look on his face.
Lauren's heart melted. "Aw, Nick I feel the same way about you. You can see me whenever you want to." She said smiling.
"Good, how about tomorrow?" He asked, his eyes lighting up like a little boy in a candy store.
"I'd love to. But I have school." She said.
He took her hand, and they continued walking.
"Well then, when is school over for the year? I mean, it's June already.." He said.
"The day after tomorrow." She said laughing.
"Oh, well how bout I pick you up tomorrow from school, and then we spend the next day together." He said. Lauren loved the fact that he wanted to spend so much time with her. But then she thought of something.
'He's not gonna be here forever. Maybe that's why he wants to spend so much time with me!'
"Nick, I have a question. When are you leaving? To finish your tour?"
His face darkened. "In two weeks." He answered.
"Oh no." She whispered.
"Well, we'll figure something out before then. Come on, let's go to that bridge over there." He said pointing to a near by bridge overlooking the lake.
They walked hand in hand to the bridge.
"Lauren, I know we just met three days ago, and I know I'm leaving in two weeks, but we'll work something out, and I just wanna know, if maybe, you'd want to, well if you, do you wanna be my girlfriend?" He asked, blushing.
"Yes Nick. Of course." She said smiling. He wrapped her into a hug, and he gave her a kiss on the cheek. They continued to talk and look out over the lake. All of the sudden they noticed the sun was going down. They had been talking for three and a half hours! They were supposed to meet everyone else 2 hours ago! They quickly ran all the way to McDonalds and saw AJ, Howie, Kevin and Brian sitting at a booth with their heads down all ASLEEP! Lauren and Nick just cracked up. When they walked in to Mickey D's, Lauren cracked up, that woke up the guys. AJ started play fighting with Nick, and they went out side to talk. Lauren sat down in the only empty space. Next to Brian. He flashed her his incredibly cute smile. She grinned at him and said "What's up Bri?"
"Not much, pretty tired now that you mention it." He answered laughing.
When AJ and Nick came back in they decided to drive back to the hotel, because it was time for Lauren to get ready to leave. When they all piled into the car, Lauren noticed Holly and Jen were nowhere to be seen.
"How, Kev? Where'd Holly and Jen go?" She asked.
"Well, umm, Holly and I got in a fight, and we're not exactly seeing eachother anymore. I bought her a plane ticket back to Texas." He said, shaking his head, and started the car. Then Lauren looked at Howie. He didn't speak.
"Howie's still sorta upset about it. Jen went back to Texas with Holly, and said she'd call him, and wasn't too convincing about it." Brian informed her.
"Oh Kevin, Howie I'm so sorry. You must be really upset. Is there anything I can do to help you?" Lauren asked.
"No, it's all right. I'll live. TRUST me. I definatley DON'T need Jen in my life now. She's kinda money grubbing." Howie said with a laugh.
"Yeah, and I'm cool without Holly. I need to be on my own a while anyway." Kevin added.
Lauren smiled and sat back in her seat. Leaned her head on Nick's shoulder, she closed her eyes and drifted into a deep sleep.
Lauren was walking through a feild, holding someone's hand. She looked so happy. She turned her head to look at the man she was with, but he was blurry. "I love you so much Lauren" He said to her. "I love you more than the stars in the sky." He told her.
"I love you too. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone and I want to be with you forever." She said back to this person. "I wish we could just tell everyone our feelings for eachother. I know that would ruin everything though." She continued to say. Who was this man she was so in love with? Did she REALLY love him? Because she KNEW it wasn't Nick, not that she loved Nick but he was the only person she was interested in. Wasn't he?
Lauren's head bolted up when they arrived at the hotel.
"Laur, are you all right?" Nick asked.
"Yeah, I'm good. Walk me to my car?" She asked.
"Sure." Nick answered.
"Bye Kev and Howie, feel better guys. Later AJ." She said, giving them all hugs. Then she reached Brian. "Bye Bri." She said hugging him as well. "Bye Lauren." He said. Her heart skipped a beat. Something just happened, she wasn't sure what it was though. She pretty much blew it off, and walked with Nick to her car.
"Nick, I want you to call my house tomorrow while I'm at school and talk to my mom, ok? I want her to really like you, and I know she will." Lauren said, smiling up at him.
"Sure, I'm good with parents." He said smiling.
"Good. So when and where are you picking me up?" She asked.
"I wanted to pick you up at school." He said, smiling. Lauren was glad about that. She wanted to show him off a little.
"Well, good, but after that can we drive to my house so you can meet my mom?" She asked him, smiling.
"Sure that'd be good."
"OK, so I'll see you tomorrow at 2:15?" She asked him, looking up at him with her big brown eyes.
"2:15 on the dot." He answered wrapping his arms around her waist. He slightly lifted her chin, and kissed her on the lips. When they broke from their kiss, they smiled and went their seperate ways.
