Chapter ten “It was the best ever!” Whitney exclaimed as she talked to Andrea.

“So, you guys back together?” She questioned cautiously.

“I don’t know, I don’t wanna take things too quick, ya know? I want things to flow naturally this time, I don’t want to push it, I feel like maybe I rushed it a little last time, I want to give it time now, time to develop.”

“I understand, but if you feel it in your heart, don’t leave it too long, you do realize your time with him is limited, right?”

“Yeah, and I will, don’t worry about it, And, I’ll be just fine, thanks for calling I appreciate it.” Whitney said. “How are the baby and the new daddy?”

She sighed. “I don’t think either of us have ever been this happy, Whit, I mean this is so amazing. Are you coming over with everyone else this afternoon?”

“Yeah, I’ll be there.”

“Ok, well call them and tell them an hour, that should give me time to feed and change him.”

“Alright se you then Mommy!” She teased as Andi laughed.

“Ok, goodbye, Whitney.” Andi said laughing as she hung up the phone.

“Oh, he’s so adorable,” Cait cooed as she took in the sight before her. Never before had she seen Chris the way he was now. “Can I hold him?”

“Of course, come here,” Chris told her.

“He’s so precious.” She said in awe of the beautiful sight in her arms.

“He’s gonna have a tough life...” Justin said.

“What are you talking about?” Andrea asked.

“he looks like his dad,” He finished as everyone but Chris laughed.

“That was low man really low.”

“Sorry, but it’s true.”

“Whatever, he’ll be lucky if he looks like either one of us.”

“and boy you better hope he does cuz if not man. You might wanna start looking out while you’re gone.”

“Alright boys, enough, God!” Cait interrupted their quarrel.

Andi laughed as the two huffed out of the room, maybe you should have a kid not me.”

“I can’t wait until I have children.” Cait told her quietly.

“You’ll be the best mother out there, next to me of course,” She said as the two laughed.

“Of course.”

“So, you guys ready for Acapulco?”

“I can’t wait! Just to have him there with me is the best thing I could ask for. Having him gone for those long months was hard. I missed him so much. I don’t know how you did it being pregnant and all.”

“To tell ya the truth, neither do I, it was always hard to watch him leave on that plane, but not it’s like three times as hard, ya know what I'm saying? I was afraid he may never be able to meet his baby.” She said as tears appeared in the corners of her eyes.

“Hey, he’s here and he’s a great father, and he’ gonna be her for a long time, now whether that’s a good thing or not is a different matter...”said to her friend.

“I know, and I am more thankful for that than any one in this world will ever know.”

“Everyone thinks you’re so lucky to be dating such a celebrity, but at times, I wish he wasn’t a celebrity. I wish we didn’t have to be followed by bodyguards ten feet behind us, without cameras flashing everywhere, without everyone speculating on your relationship. It’s the hardest thing in the world to deal with all the rumors people start about you and someone you love, especially when you love them, ya know?” Cait said.

“Completely, and everyone wishes they had them, well, I’d give them Chris for a week and see how much they want him then, maybe then they respect u as more than just an ornament on the arms of the biggest boy band in the world,” Andi voiced, sighing as she plopped down on the bed right as Sean began to cry. “Poor baby, he must be hungry, let me see him.”

“You got it, you want me to leave?”

“Only if you feel uncomfortable being here, I’ve become very open with my breasts these past few days.” She said as Cait laughed.

“Alright then,” she said, laying down on the bed staring at the ceiling imaging what her trip with Justin would be like as Andrea sat across the room rocking Sean.

“Thinking about him?”

“Of course, he’s always on my mind, he never leaves my thoughts and I hate it, but I can’t help it, he’ll always be there in my head, and he’ll always hold that special place in my heart. No matter what.”

“I hear that, OW!”

“Awww...poor, baby.” Cait teased.

“Shove it kid, or I’ll kick your sorry ass.”

“You better watch your mouth to you’re kid is gonna grow up to be just like, and we wouldn’t want that now would we?”

“You’re damn lucky this kid is attached to my chest or yours would be attached to the floor.”

“Alright, I think I'm gonna go see who else is here, I’ll see you when you’re done, all sore and shit.”

“Whatever, bye.”

Cait laughed. There were certain things she could wait for to be a mother...

“You ready to go?” Cait asked Justin as she looked around making sure she hadn’t forgotten anything.

“I think so...” He replied, doing the same.

“Now, don’t forget these weeks are for some R and R so therefore, this,” She started, picking up his cell phone, “is off limits,” and that,” she said, pointing towards his laptop,” is to be left right there until we get back and you can do whatever you damn please, alright?”

“I got it,” He told her as he wrapped his arms around her waits. “Thank you for this.”

“You best be saying thank you I saved for this forever!” She exaggerated.

“Shut up, but I do appreciate it, I love,” He told her, kissing her lips.

“Mmm...could you show me that one more time...” She asked as he attacked her lips once more.

“Yeah, it was as bad as I thought.”

“You suck!”

“Don’t I just?”

“Yes, now how about we blow this Popsicle stand?”

“Sounds like a plan, let’s go baby.”

Whit those few words they were on their way to two weeks neither of them would forget.

“So, JC, how have things been?” Whitney asked, trying desperately to break the awkward silence between them.

Things still weren’t normal between the couple. There were still things in the back of Whitney’s mind that she couldn’t get rid of. Thoughts of JC sneaking around behind her back with another girl. Thoughts of him telling her it was all over. He had someone else to love who loved him better than she did. Those thoughts were with her when she was alone in her house, when she was working, even when she was with JC. They were even more apparent then. She figured it was because he seemed distant form her lately. At first she tried to make herself think it was because of the fight, but then she slowly came around to thinking it was because there really was someone else. Like everything he had said when they got back together, everything he had done, was a lie. Like it was all nothing to him. She had found it hard to believe at first because JC had never lied to her before their fight, he had never been one to go sneaking around, but now she wondered. Maybe he was starting to change.

“Just fine, what about you?” He asked, nervously looking at her, sitting next to him on the couch.

He was having some remorse about his decision to go back to Whitney. Things just didn’t seem the same as they once had been. He had told himself in the beginning that things wouldn’t be the same but he didn’t really believe it. He started to try to tell himself she just needed to learn to trust him and he needed to prove it to her. He thought maybe Whitney had lost interest in him. Things were changing all around him and now he was starting to get caught up in it. Maybe he needed to break this off and go out into the world by himself, no string attached. Maybe that title had held more meaning than he had thought.

JC looked down at his watch, “Well, I have to get going, sorry, I’ll call you later, bye.” He got up and left without letting her respond.

Something was happening and Whitney didn’t like the way it looked.

“Alright baby, what’s the first stop?” Cait asked Justin after they had settled into their hotel room.

“That bed...” Justin answered.

“Eh eh eh, nice try buddy, but that’s for tonight, now, what are we going to do?” She asked him once again.

“Let’s go around town checking out the shops and stuff,” He suggested.

“Alright, let me change and we can go.”

“Alright, but do it quick and don’t make I too much,” He finished just as her shirt came flying out the bathroom door into his face as he laughed.

Soon she came out and they left for an afternoon full of fun and laughs.

“Check that out!” Cait exclaimed, looking into s store and seeing a beautiful white gold bracelet. “That is sweet!”

“And it comes with a sweet price tag,” Justin pointed out.

“Oooh...It’s not so sweet anymore.”

He laughed, “it’s all good.”

“Yeah for you Mr. Rich pants, some of us aren’t so lucky.”

“Whatever, let’s move on.” He told her, grabbing her by the hand and pulling her out of the store.

A few hours later they were still walking around looking from shop to shop when Justin suggested they go back to the hotel and take a shower.

“It’s getting kinda warm out here,” He told her, emphasizing his point by waving his arms in the air showing his pit stains.

“Dude, that’s nasty, put your arms down and keep them there, I’ll take you back so you can take a shower cuz DAMN you need it.” Cait told him leading him, pulling his arm back in the direction of the hotel they were staying at. “Oh yeah, you hafta get dressed afterwards cuz we are SO going club hoppin’ tonight baby!”

“You got it,” Justin told her with a laugh.
