Sorry I haven't updated in ages. I'll try and catch up on what i've missed, and by the way, Aussie Evanescence fans will be glad to know that Evanescence will be in Australia 19 - 23 July!
The success of Evanescence single "Bring Me To Life" has turned rock four-piece Evanescence into mega stars. Taken from their album, "Fallen", the track has just scored them two nominations at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
US rockers Evanescence are up for two awards at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The band will vie for Best Rock Video and Best New Artist awards thanks to their worldwide smash "Bring Me To Life". The single, which returned to #3 on the National ARIA singles chart this week is now double Platinum in Australia and has sold millions of copies around the world. The track's global success has literally turned the Arkansas metal act into super stars, just a few months since its release. So what's the secret to the band's phenomenal success?
"I'll be damned if I know the secret," says singer Amy Lee. "I think it's just doing what you love. Success isn't about how well you do with fame or money or whatever. I think what success really is, is when you find something you love and you can do it for the rest of your life. I think the secret is making work something you love, instead of working your ass off so you can do what you love, because you're never going to get there."
Evanescence will release their new single "Going Under" on August 25. It's the second cut off their current album, "Fallen" available in stores now.
