About Blaze Skaters

'Roller Blazing' is based on traditional and recent forms of Roller Derby from across the Atlantic. The focus is team skating on a circuit or preferably a banked track. Skaters score points for passing the other team and limited blocking is allowed.

Due to a lack of adequate tracks in the UK (concrete!) the rules have been modified with more emphasis on the team chase and less physical contact. Eventually our aim is to play games on indoor rinks or a purpose built track. This way we can increase awareness and follow more closely the basic roller derby rules.
