About LackWit

Formed only 8 months ago, LackWit posses a determination that far surpasses their youth. Though they may not have been a band for very long, 3 members of LackWit have known eachother since childhood, and they are all close friends. The group, which consists of lead singer and guitarist Jeff Boychuk, guitarist Tom Brow, bassist Mikey Wilson, and drummer Mike Mitchell-credit their determination to a shared love of music. Each cites punk legends the Ramones and the Clash as some of their favourites, but they are also inspired by the new wave of punk and emo bands that have been recently dominating radio. When they aren't rehearsing, the guys spend much of their time on a perpetual search for new musical inspiriation, and writing original songs, a favourite hobby of Jeff's. Though young-the group ranges in age from 15-16, each member sees music in their future, and look forward to a year filled with marathon band practices and shows. --Written by: Sarah Boychuk
