GODMODING!!!!

Guess what? Only godmoders like godmoders... What's godmoding you ask? I'll be more then happy to explain.

Godmoding bluntly put is when you give your character god like abilities. Things that are NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE is what you need to bear in mind concerning this. A few examples are:

Doing a backflip in a full suite of armor.
Dodging twenty arrows all aimed at you simotaneously and NOT be standing behind a brick wall (the wall between you and the arrows). Hearing people's thoughts while not possessing telekinesis. Moving mountains, other large land masses, uprooting buildings etc...

There is another form of godmoding as well and that's when you take it upon yourself to decide another characters fate or responses without first consulting the involved other character. you did not create the other character involved, you do not know them better then their player so do not assume you can decide for them that your skills far outrank theirs or that you may put words into their mouths.

Some examples of this type of godmoding are:

Deciding another character shall whimper when you threaten them. Attacking them and landing the hit all in the same motion. Taking things from their person without permission. Removing things from their homes without first consulting the other player.

See also "Conflicts" and "Perception" for further information on this issue.

As you are expected not to godmode towards other players so you should expect from other players. If you have no wish to be a godmoder and you end up in a situation with one, blow the entire situation off and move on, take a note of who it was and aim to never rp with them again or within a limited context. Godmoding back to a godmoder only encourages them to continue doing it and may also give others the impression it's how you rp regularly. That you don't need.

Godmoding creates some negative ramifications. If you want to take roleplaying seriously you won't be able to do it when all the other serious roleplayers begin avoiding you because you've been labelled a godmoder.

Act wisely, intelligently and realistically and you'll get further quicker and you'll be helping towards creating a better roleplay environment for everyone.
