This guide is most generally written for the typical raid attendee. The purpose is to give you all the info you need to participate and contribute to a successful and cohesive raid and to let you know what to expect. The raid can most generally be broken into the following stages:

Introduction/home page
0) Equipment/self preparation
1) Call to Arms
2) Arrival
3) Clearing Ice Giants
4) Setting Groups
5) Buffing
6) The Charge
7) Corpse Recovery (people usually die even on successful raids)
8) Loot Distribution
9) Parting Ways/Points awarded

8) Loot.

I'm plain and simple just going to lay out the rules, then post an FAQ that should explain why things are the way they are. This will be done item-by-item.

NINJALOOTERS BEWARE! Ninja looting is a bannable offense. Do not think that you can get away with it. I assign group leaders I can trust and it is their job to get on the corpse first, and these folks quickly inform me of what the drops are. When one comes up missing by the time I'm able to get on the corpse, it is known that there has been a ninja-looter and a petition is immediately put in.

What can the GM's do? GM's have access to all information as to transactions with loot, including who looted what, and even whether it got traded later to another character. They can and will find your character, and logging off will not protect you either. Logging to an alt will not protect you. GM's will know the station name and character names of all involved. They will remove the item from the offending character and return it to the raid for awarding to the rightful winner by me. This includes nodrop items, which will be given as awarded by the raid leadership.

And the consequences for the player caught ninja-looting are severe. As I stated before, it is a bannable offense, and as I'm sure anyone can see, it is not something you will get away with. It has happenned once before on one of my raids, and the server lead GM was very good in recovering the stolen item.

The GM will often ask for suspects, and there are a number of things that can make me suspicious so please don't do them. These are things such as appearing as if you are looting the corpse, or even being on the corpse without permission. I am suspicious of latecomers, exception being those I knew ahead of time they would be late. Anyone that drops group is suspicious. I thank anyone in advance for informing me of any suspicious activity as well.

Thank you for your time, and thank you to the vast majority of those who have attended my raids for being honest.

Epic Items

This will refer to all four epic drops between both dragons, Naggy and Vox.

Paladin Books
Lumped into a catagory, there are two books needed for paladin epic, one drops from each dragon.
Elegibility (class and level): paladins only, levels 45-52.
These are the only nodrop dragon items, as such it will always be awarded first, and will be the only item not held by the raid leader.
Awarding:
First chance goes to those in the following lists, if present:

Fire Book [DONE]
Marissa [DONE]
Phread [DONE]
Macchan [DONE]
Sithas [DONE]
Aervothlin [DONE]
Daragoth [Leveled beyond 52]

Frost Book
Macchan [DONE]
Nevik
Sithas
Aervothlin
Valadeer [Leveled beyond 52]
Daragoth [Leveled beyond 52]

If no paladin from the appropriate list above is present and needing the book, then rolls using points will determin the winner.

The roll may be limitted to paladins who meet all of the following criterea:
1) A character eligible for an epic drop is level 52
2) This character was level 52 on the previous raid giving points (even if same day, i.e. first attempt second attempt)
3) This character has 5 or more raid points
4) There are not more eligible characters than the person has points
5) The person has not already received the epic drop (okay, that's redundant)

If nobody meets these criterea, a roll will take place for all paladins present level 45-52, points will be used. No previous award will dimiminish the number of points towards this roll. As an example, Bill the Paladin has previously won an RBB, at the time he had 2 points, this is his 4th raid. RBB resets points, but he still gets 4 points for this roll. Any other roll using points he would only have 2 points.

Paladin books will reset points for non epic items, a paladin that has received both books will have their points fully reset.

Red Dragon Scale - from Lord Nagafen This has 3 uses, bard epic, warrior epic and red dragonscale BP. Also, this item has three sources: Lord Nagafen, Talendor, Nortlav the Scalekeeper. I only expect this item when awarded using my loot rules to be used for an epic.

First chance goes to those in the following list, if present:

Red Dragon Scales
Zeck [DONE]
Sartis [DONE]
Kocho [DONE]
Wagner [DONE]
Dehna [DONE]
Lothaar [Leveled beyond 52]
Aaldolek
Cyberguy [Leveled beyond 52]

If no warrior or bard from the appropriate list above is present and needing the scale, then rolls using points will determin the winner.

The roll may be limitted to warriors and bards who meet all of the following criterea:
1) A character eligible for an epic drop is level 52
2) This character was level 52 on the previous raid giving points (even if same day, i.e. first attempt second attempt)
3) This character has 5 or more raid points
4) There are not more eligible characters than the person has points
5) The person has not already received the epic drop (okay, that's redundant)

If nobody meets these criterea, a roll will take place for all warriors and bards present level 45-52, points will be used. No previous award will dimiminish the number of points towards this roll. As an example, Bob the Warrior has previously won an RBB, at the time he had 2 points, this is his 4th raid. RBB resets points, but he still gets 4 points for this roll. Any other roll using points he would only have 2 points.

In the event of multiple scales
For two scales, one scale is strictly bard, one scale is strictly warrior.
For three scales, one scale is strictly bard and one is strictly warrior. The remaining scale will be awarded between bards and warriors who did not get one of the first two scales as listed above.

White Dragon Scale - from Lady Vox

The white dragon scale can only be acquired from 2 sources, Lady Vox and Gorenaire. A third source has been rumored, i.e. Chardok quest, but nobody has successfully done ths. This scale has two uses, bard epic and white dragonscale cloak.

There is no active default list for this item, all bards who had a place on the list have received their scales.

The roll may be limitted to bards who meet all of the following criterea:
1) A character eligible for an epic drop is level 52
2) This character was level 52 on the previous raid giving points (even if same day, i.e. first attempt second attempt)
3) This character has 5 or more raid points
4) *** This is a special case! *** Apply formula: Your points*5 > [Number of bards 45-52]*5 + [Number of casters 45-52]
5) The person has not already received the epic drop (okay, that's redundant)

If no bards match these criterea, a roll will take place using numbers for bards, clerics, druids, shaman, necromancers, wizards, magicians and enchanters. Bards will use all points earned, even if their points were previously reduced by winning another item (this applies to the point count for 4) above as well).

In this roll, for every point a bard has, they will be given FIVE numbers. I.E. for an equal number of points, the odds are five times better for a bard than a caster.

In the interest of promoting bard epic, IF a caster wins a white dragon scale, I will require them to accept a trade from a bard of an item as good or better than a white dragonscale cloak. Typically this item is a Heirophant's Cloak or a White Dragonscale Cloak. Other items need to be proposed and added to this list. If more than one bard present has such a trade, I will call for a conventional roll.. The caster may exercise the right to choose what bard present he will trade with, bards trading in such a manner have no level restriction.

HASTE ITEMS

Runed Bolster Belt - Drops from Lady Vox
AC 5 STR 10 DEX 10 STA 10 Effect: Haste 31%

Cloak of Flames - Drops from Lord Nagafen
AC 10 AGI 9 DEX 9 FR 15 HP 50 Effect: Haste 36%

These items will be limitted to melee of levels 45 to 52. This means the following classes: Warrior, Rogue, Monk, Ranger, Paladin, Shadow Knight. Bards will be included on those raids where there are no open rolls that bards can be included on.

The roll for these items will use points. Points will be fully reset upon winning these items. Points cleared by winning a haste item, however, will be stored in the case of those classes who have epic drops from these dragons.

Nobody will be able to win and keep both haste items. If somebody wins an RBB and still wants to win a cloak of flames, they may continue to be included on the roll without points deducted for the RBB. If they win, however, they must turn over their RBB to be rolled on for the rest who are present. This can just as well be done with an RBB for someone who won CoF. Anyone who has won one item then upgraded to the other will no longer be eligible for either under any circumstances.

Tobrin's Mystical Eyepatch - Drops from Lady Vox

Wis +15 INT +15 Effect: See Invis

This is about the best these dragons have to offer for the casters/healers. So, this is a points using item. This is an item that will use full raid points, this will also reset raid points.

WEIGHT REDUCTION BAGS

Kayruuls Mystic Pouch - Drops from Lady Vox
Treasure Hunter's Satchel - Drops from Lord Nagafen

Both bags are 10 slot 100% weight reduction giant item bags with weight 0.4. Both are lore items.

While any class can use and benefit from these items, I limit these to the following classes: monk, wizard, enchanter, cleric, mage, shaman, druid, necromancer. No level limits.

This is a one number per person roll, winning this item costs 2 points; in the case of someone with no points, their points are reset.

STAFF OF FORBIDDEN RITES

2HB 25/50 WIS+9 HP+50 MANA+50 10 charges level 49 resurrection.

The charges on this item can be used from inventory, see the FAQ section for further information. This item is rolled by monks and shadow knights level 46-52.

This is a one number per person roll, winning this item costs 2 points; in the case of someone with no points, their points are reset.

*** CLASS SPECIFIC ITEMS! ***

Bard instruments

Selo's drum of the march (Naggy), McVaxius' Horn of War (Vox) These instruments are top of the line, at least the best most folks of Naggy/Vox level range will see for the most part.. Not much more to say, I generally keep them open to all bards engaging the dragon. One number each.

Heirophant's Crook - Druid (Naggy)
2HB STR+9 DEX+9 WIS+9 // EARTHQUAKE

Blight Hammer of Scourge - Shaman (Naggy)

Warhammer of Divine Grace - Cleric (Vox)

These are all nice little items, but generally there's better out there. Each is rolled on by their respective classes, levels 40-52, one number per person.

*** The rest ***
