Embrace your child when he cries,
Teach him love and not to lie.

Take care when showing right from wrong,
Instill within him morals strong.

Hold him close if dreams turn bad,
Wipe his tears when he is sad.

Be honest to his questions asked,
If in doubt recall your past.

With even this he should be told,
Play games, have fun, respect the old.

Embrace your child while you can,
In a few short years he'll be a man.
