Culorile Rugby Old-Boys Grivita Romania: Rosu + Negru

Teren pentru meciuri si antrenamente: "Parcul Copilului" Bucuresti

The foundation Rugby Old Boys Grivita was created by former international players from Grivita and from other clubs in Bucharest.
The purpose of the foundation is to support and promote rugby among veteran players and to help the former players with health and social problems.
The foundation’s team was set up in 2000 following an initiative of a few former players who met to celebrate 20 years from winning the 2nd place in Romania’s championship for juniors 1 (under 18) in 1980.
The team has its own funding sources and carries on its training sessions in the “Parcul Copilului” rugby field, one of the oldest places in Romania exclusively destined to this game.
The Rugby Old Boys Grivita team has taken part in two international tournaments – Aalborg Rugby Sevens in Denmark, in 2001, whose veteran category they won, and a rugby union (teams of 15) tournament in Chartres (France) in 2002, where they played against three French teams and won all matches and two trophies.
Our host, the Grivita Rugby Club, has won several times in its history Romania’s championships in all the age categories: juniors 3 (under 14), juniors 2 (under 16), juniors 1 (under 18), seniors and veterans.
The seniors’ team was the only club team in Europe to win the European Cup (in a competition for national teams) playing in the final against France in 1956. Now, the foundation’s team is separated from the Grivita Club.
