REDHORSE is an acronym, for Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron, Engineer. REDHORSE was a concept that became a reality, in 1966. Comprised of six squadrons, five deployed to Viet Nam and one to Thailand, we were fit to kill. My name is Edwin Beckford, one of the original Redhorsemen. I was in the 819th, once upon a time. And, talking about time...it's time to take 'roll call', time to take a head count and a body count, time to account for our own!
It is also time for us to speak up! Too many people are trying to tell our story. It's time to get the facts "from the horse's mouth."
